It was one of the cleanest and standard hotels when the old town stood.
Recently refurbished, a great place with friendly people and good amenities. Was pleasantly surprised to find a bath tub and unending supply of hot water. Hotel sits atop the valley with panoramic views all around. The Wangdue Dzong which was burnt down and is undergoing reconstruction is within walking distance. Great place to stay and chill out if you are a nature lover with only pleasing views and nature's sounds to disturb you!
This review is for Hotel Tashiling in Wangdue and not for the one in Paro.
We stayed in this hotel on April 11 2018 which was the best hotel we had in our entire tour of Bhutan.
The hotel is in the plains of the Mo Chuu river amidst scenery of surpassing lovelines. We cannot see the river from the room but the green valleys are a treat to the eyes.
The Rooms were newly constructed, the food and room rates were reasonable and the staff was very good, we received the perfect greeting a tourist would expect which is a plus point.
The only catch with this place is it's a bit away from the city. Nevertheless, this Hotel is charming and the surrounding scenary superb.
Thank you for having us!
If you are visiting nearby punakha den , you can surely consider this as a option though its bit outside of Punakha but its hardly 15 mins from punakha .
Lakeside view , nice wooden architecture, warm inside hotel and spacious rooms perfect place for stay . Even in house food is also good and as usual here also you will meet good staff with smiley faces .
Note :- shops are not nearby , so take everything with you.
Very good hotel, outside Punakha, Bhutan. Food quality is excellent and finger licking.Staff members are very nice and very polite. Rooms are spacious and very cozy, clean and bathrooms are also very clean and we'll planned. Hotel is situated just beside the river. If you stop by the hotel just get in touch with this good young guy Ngawang Chophel who will sure help you with his heart. I just loved the place. Do vizit 😀
