Gong Community Primary School was initially established in late 70s and early 80s but due to Southern Bhutan problem in 90s, the Royal Government of Bhutan has to closed the school for almost last 20 years. Under the leadership of dynamic and farsighted monarchs of Kingdom of Bhutan ( HM Fourth and Fifth Druk Gyalpo), the school was reponed on 2nd June 2009. Currently the school name has changed into Gakiling Primary School from Gong CPS and there are 6 teaching staff and 3 non teaching staff with more 120 students in the school.
