Hotel is secluded (low walk score) and pool is not that kid friendly (very deep) so meant for swimming not just lounging. Facilities are nice and people are so nice. Room is gorgeous and food is delicious. Not much to do but sit by pool which is great if you want to just relax. Gym is nice too.

Very nice and cozy hotel, staff is very friendly, food is amazing. There is a very small but nice cinema at the hotel just be aware that the parking lot is kind of small so if there is an event at the hotel you might not be able to find a parking spot.

Superb experience from doorman who greeted us to check in and check out. Quiet, elegant, airy and expansive. Pristinely clean. The rooms were gorgeous. Sleek, crisp and luxurious. And highly comfortable- the mattress and linens divine. All amenities one could ask for. I want the same mattress in my next house. And the bathrooms are beautiful. Especially the shower. I also loved the English toiletries for home.
Dinner at Mahogany was beyond expectations. Breakfast in the cafe/bar terrific. Best granola and latte in Bahamas. Then there is the gorgeous pool. My only regret is we didn’t get chance to sample the Asian fusion restaurant. This is the only place to stay in Nassau

Everything about this place just screams amazing. The entire property is beautifully landscaped and really gives a sense of privacy and exclusivity to the entire resort. All of the restaurants including the breakfast bar area are amazing - never had a bad meal anywhere on property. The rooms are very nice, the movie theater is very classy and the exercise facilities are phenomenal offering more than you could ask for at a boutique hotel. The last but certainly not least thing that I picked up about this place is the staff. Every last one of them are friendly, they greet you with a smile as you walk past them and they are knowledgeable about the amenities. If you're considering booking here do it!

I travelled to Nassau with my husband, and we chose The Island House as we prefer a more intimate, relaxed setting. It was a fabulous decision!
I can't say enough good things about the aesthetic of this hotel. I want to decorate my entire house in this beach-chic style.
Some things I loved about the hotel:
1) The food was fantastic. We enjoyed the salmon from the restaurant upstairs a little too much. The breakfast and lunch were always top notch.
2) The hotel staff are eager to resolve any issues. The happiness of their customers is very important to this hotel.
3) There are many activities and services offered by the hotel. The gym and yoga studio are two facilities that I felt are really worthwhile. They made the hotel feel like a home away from home.
The only potential cons:
1) The hotel is not on the beach, and is quite far from the downtown ares of Nassau. If you plan to go visit NOBU, One and Only, or Atlantis, the cab ride is not quick.
2) The spa is teeny-tiny! Pedicures are not done in a big comfy chair, however, still relaxing.

The atmosphere is serene and the grounds are beautiful. To top it off there are some amazing eateries on the property. Shima & the coffee bar offer great food and the prices aren't bad either. I have yet to stay at the actual hotel but I look forward to staying there in the future.
