You have to book an appointment to look at the museum, but this is easy enough to do from the shop next door. The museum itself is a little small, but the lady that gives you the tour (which largely consists of a narrative history whilst stood mostly in one place) is very knowledgeable about the island and it's history and can point out a lot of photos. Really fascinating descriptions of island life and culture and recommended for that. Allow an hour.
