A huge, clean multi-store similar to Walmart with some of the best reasonable fresh produce in town.
I like to shop there they price ar good i only shop at solomons every week
This center is like Wal-Mart. I love it. It has Good, clothing, appliances and much more. Reasonable priced items.
Everything everything great prices fresh fruits and vegetables I'm talking about the whole nine yard fresh milk gorgeous set of eggs everything Fresh Bakery salad bar wonderful
It makes you feel like your in a US super store
Good quality produce decent prices. It's like a a smaller Walmart. They sell clothing as we as jewelry, makeup and electronics. They even have great weekly sale
It's awesome. Has alot of things. Free WiFi and a variety of foods, jewellery, clothes, shoes, house equipment and toys.. even baby stuff. I love it
Enter Solomon's it's what you expect from a supermarket. There are variety of product consisting of food Goods, Clothing, a pharmacy, Electronics, Hardware, Etc. The customer service was average not feeling great but not terrible. Depending on the time of the day it may be slow to get serve. All-in-all I go there due to the variety of products but outside of that there's nothing much to be seen.
It's an ok store. The variety is good but the prices could be better and the maintenance on the place is horrible. A better job has to be done. Mopping won't do.
They store is well laid out. I went to pick up a clothes washing detergent that was rated HE and they had them in the various brands especially the one I was looking for. So my visit was profitable one. When it came to the check out line it would be advantageous to some of your clients if there was a self serve line
The store looks far bigger and better than I remember it. They really do look like there improving as each year passes by 😊
I love the fresh products as well as the variety. So beautifully spacious.
The customer service was deplorable. At 10 only three cashiers were on ,the lines were long. To make matters worst , the customer ahead of myself needed the managers approval for clothing item, it took the female manager 10 minutes to respond. She was visibly eating chips and simply took her time coming. When she arrived she made no apologies but again took her time assisting. I really wanted to just leave the few items in my cart but was too impressed with the specials. We stood on the line for about 20 minutes just waiting. The customer behind me left the line to join another and sure enough left the store as I continued to stand in line. #😥worst service ever#shame on you Solomon##
It was clean and staff was helpful, one of the shelf guys actually stopped while passing and asked if I needed assistance I told him what I could not find and he went and got it for me
Shopping was great. However the express check out line moves took slow. That seems to be the case on more than one occasion
Its a great shop that has most of the average person's needs and wants. It is always a dependable place to visit and not to mention the weekly sales and discounts that are offered which brings in the masses from all over the Island to this well versed super store. Solomon's is one of my most visited shop its always a pleasure to shop there. Although, the lines to check-out your desired goods can be a bit hectic, it does not always leave a bad taste in your mouth.
This store reminds me of an older Wal-Mart back in the States. It's a nice department and grocery store. The prices are very reasonable. Just make sure you keep your receipt after you pay, because security will not let you out of the store unless they can see your receipt.
Really good mega store. A good one-stop shop. Great variety of goods. Price is a little high on grocery shopping but not too bad.
On a regular day the visit is normal, on most Thursday you should find new items added to stock. Especially good for the fruits and vegetables. Pretty good variety, mostly good prices. Also has a pharmacy. Secure parking lot with security watch tower.
For all your Home, school & Office supplies etc!
Spacious else & Hardworking friendly staff .
Solomon's Old Trail which is also the original Solomon's is truly the Bahamian Wal-Mart. Need anymore be said? Must see too appreciate the comparison does it no justice.
Lots of items to choose from, designed after the U A Walmart stores selling clothes, groceries and electronics. Prices are reasonable and inventory is good, the wait for checkout is long and can sometimes be discouraging.
A favorite store frequented by the Bahamian locals. Usually it has some quality products but don't expect to find what you need each time. The Solomon on East Bay Street and out West are worlds apart. It is obvious (among other things) that the taste buds and wallets of those frequenting these Solomon stores are very different
After two months on Exuma after Hurricane Matthew, this was the first grocery store I came across. Literally, I stopped and stared in awe - I felt like I was back in civilization again. I couldn't figure out what to buy, there was so much to choose from!
Quickly though, sticker shock set in. Meat was ridiculous, eggs were decent, couldn't find soy sauce anywhere (but teriyaki and rice vinegar, no problem). The feel reminds me of a Bahamian Whole Foods, yet there's a ton of Waitrose products (a grocery chain in the UK).
I enjoy shopping here, and if it weren't for the prices I'd return more often. (The 12b bus goes right by, just make sure you ask). Still, it's you need something from the US, or have a hankering for organic, high quality, something or other (and it's packaged), there's a good chance you'll find it here and nowhere else on this island.
Oh, and the $10 sandwiches in the deli? amazing, huge, delicious.
