The property wowed me, very secluded, intimate, cleaned landscape, the view of the Atlantic is breathe taking. I had an opportunity to meet the owner, Dr. Carrol and his wife who is very personable and charming who interacted with all the guest. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that the guest needs and expections are meet. This place is worth experiencing it for yourself.

We spent 8 nights at the Sandpiper. A fairly new , seven room hotel, with a small dining and some of the best food I have ever had!

Chef Higgins is an accomplished chef with over 20 years of culinary experience in some of the Bahamas' top restaurants. He now prepares these meals for Sandpiper's guests and neighboring home owners in Schooner Bay. People commonly drive 40 minutes from Marsh Harbor to dine there.

The prices are very reasonable for the Bahamas, for both food and lodging. The hotel staff are friendly and wonderfully empathetic of guests needs. Bikes, rental cars, tours, Bonefishing and a variety of watersports are all available to guests.

Schooner Bay itself offers snorkeling, very long beaches, reefs, beautiful rocky shorelines and roads lined with coconut trees.

In my opinion, the restaurant is on its way to becoming the best restaurant on Great Abaco! Its secluded and quiet.
