We were here for 3 nights in early April 2018
The power went out twice and the backup generator failed to provide power the the marina The pool was full of dead lizards. Two of the showers were broken. The bathrooms were filthy with and the toilets were blocked up. The girl working the desk was unresponsive and unwilling to answer basic questions about the area.
Truly a disappointment.
The positive is that the guy who was helping up tie up our boat noticed a loose board under the dock and promptly fixed it!
Really friendly service with the best dining room view on the island. Be sure to go for rib night on Saturday evening, or the farmers market on Saturday morning.
Nice, fun, local place in contrast to Nipper's. Not so touristy. You can be comfortable here.
People was great, food was great will be back.
Great food, quality dockage w/ fuel and clean bathrooms with showers!
They rip you off.. just electric bill for a month was 1000$ ( and we didn't stay on the boat) plus you pay water, and dockage... for 65 feet boat be ready pay 5000$+
Cannot say enough good things about Orchid Bay and, in particular, Sunsetters Restaurant. We were going to be on GGC for my daughter's 13th birthday. I reached out and asked if they could do something special for her birthday dinner. Lisa was fantastic about being in touch and the dinner itself was amazing! The staff had flowers, helium balloons and a Happy Birthday sign set up at the best table in the restaurant when we arrived. Then there was the birthday cake with candles that was brought out with the staff singing "Happy Birthday". THANK YOU Orchid Bay for making that event so incredibly special for us!! Oh... and the rib eye and fish dishes were excellent! We also LOVED rib night!
We loved our service here! Their docks and amenities were prime. They have a very friendly staff and made us feel like locals. Their restaurant has amazing service & delicious food. TRY THE DESSERTS :D
Ribs good cashier had attitude
Beautiful, sheltered marina. Both main buildings have showers, nicer in the building on the left (green). WiFi is in the building on the right, and you basically have to be on the porch to use it. No complaints, great place, 5 minute walk to all the bars (Nippers and Grabbers).
Best place to eat on the island.
New full service marina at Great Guana Cay, Bahama. Pool, bar, restaurant and gift shop. If your coming by boat there are 50 amp services, fuel, water and shower facilities. The wifi is a bit spotty. The grocery store is a short walk. They have golf carts for rent at $50/day.
