  Miss Emily's Blue Bee is now run by her daughter Violet. Emily invented the Goombay Smash which is now the national drink of the Bahamas. You haven't had a real Goombay til you've had one at the Blue Bee!
  Violet is the warmest, most welcoming, sweetest new friend. The food is fabulous. I NEVER eat fish, but I tried the blackened grouper and it was delicious! Worth a trip over the ferry if you are not staying on Green Turtle Cay!

  You have to go to the blue B bar when you're visiting green turtle. It's the home of the goombay smash. Miss Emily's daughter, probably granddaughter by now, pours the secret concoction out of an old milk jug. They're fabulous! There's a picture on the wall of Miss Emily receiving an award for inventing the goombay smash.

  This picture was taken in the Abaco's while My husband was working for Premier Cruise Lines.

  The lady in the picture with him is "Miss Emily" who owned the "Miss Emily's Blue Bee Bar" on Green Turtle Cay. Miss Emily invented a drink called the "Goombay Smash". If you have ever had a real "Goombay Smash" then you know why it is called that..
  
  Miss Emily is no longer with us, she passed on a few years ago. I understand that she passed on the secrets of her drink to one of her daughters, and that the "Blue Bee Bar" is still open.
  
  Unfortuatly, Premier no longer goes to the Abaco's. However, if you ever get a chance to visit Green Turtle Cay be sure to stop in and have a "Goombay Smash" for me.
  
  The above picture was taken during a preliminary scouting trip for Premier, prior to beginning actual operations. You can probably still find the t-shirt shown nailed to the ceiling.
