Drinks were ok but the food was awful. We had the fish and chips and the fish was hardly crispy at all.we should have returned it. Our friends had the beach club sandwich and though it is supposed to have roasted turkey, ham, and bacon, it was mostly ham, with some bacon and hardly any turkey. Very disappointing.
The good:
The atmosphere is fun, upbeat, and there was live music. The food quality was good but I thought my fajitas were rather bland. The volcano nachos were ENORMOUS! And delicious!
The bad:
Service was very poor. Our server only came to our table to take orders, deliver food, and give us the check. He never introduced himself and didn't check to see if our food was ok or see if we needed anything or if we needed drink refills. Didn't offer for a take home box either.
Food and service was outstanding. One of the best places to eat on Paradise Island. Family friendly so don't worry about not being able to bring the kids. I'd definitely come back for the shrimp.
On a tour of Atlantis off a cruise ship. Nice 0.28 mile walk from Atlantis. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, great shrimp tacos and virgin strawberry daiquiri. The wife says the watermelon margaritas are top notch.
We had a group of about 15 adults and kids. It took the restaurant 2 hours to get our main course to us and even then it was over a 20 minute time table. The food is not really all that great either. We asked the manager for some consideration and she cut the famous "Bahamas Included 15% Gratuity" in half taking money from the servers who probably had nothing to do with the delay. Management needs to address the problems at this restaurant along with Corporate oversight.
Very good service, delicious food - a lot of everything. Good price for Paradise Island. Higly recommend to everyone. Chicken Fajita is perfect!!!!
I love the games they had for us to play. The food was filling. I never ask for carry out plates but I did. The service could have been better but overall I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food
Monday evening at 5:45 pm in January seems to be the best time to go.
With some of the reviews here our expectations weren't very high but our cheeseburgers were in front of us within 25 minutes of us taking our seats. Service from Donna was very good and other members of staff checked in with us to ensure we were happy. The burgers were tasty.
The only criticisms are that the place is in need of some maintenance and the imposition of the service charge for small groups. I prefer to give gratuities directly to the person who earned them because I don't trust management to pass service charges on to their staff.
One of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. We had a large group of about 15 folks for a work function, so that would be an excuse for some delay and issues, but not for what happened. First, it took our table over 20 minutes for some individuals to get their drinks. Not mixed drinks or wine, mind you. Soda. Then we all ordered, and it took an hour and fifteen minutes for our meals to arrive. Meanwhile, numerous smaller tables around us that filled up after we arrived have already gotten their food. Finally, they tell my wife that they've run out of fish and chips, and offer her their last order of fish tacos instead. Turns out that last order of fish tacos was for a girl at the other end of the table who never got her meal. More nonsense followed, but the important part is that I spoke with the manager, and she didn't do a thing other than follow up with the kitchen to make sure my wife's replacement meal of chicken tenders came out. Never came back to the table to check on us or see if she could remedy the issues.
This place is awesome! Much better than anything inside the Atlantis resort and cheaper also. Get the ahi tuna nachos, they were unbelievable!! Do not get the coconut shrimp though. It's $23 for 4-5 pieces of shrimp.
Good food, good beer, great view. Typical "island service"..yes that means slow. We went twice for dinner and once for drinks waiting for the dolphin ferry.
The food was average. The atmosphere was above average. I've had better experiences at the other Margaritaville restaurants.
The service was great, but the food seems to be going down. The first few times service and food were great. But they got rid of some nice stuff that was on the menu-the sweet potato fries. Food was not horrible just not their usual standard.
Great spot! Great Music. Great Location. Food is affordable and good variety.!! Check it out!
We stopped by here for a few drinks and appetizers before heading back to the cruise ship we were staying on. There were maybe 4 people at the bar and 5 other families seated at tables, not exactly a packed house. We had to flag two people down before someone took our order (2 frozen drinks, 1 mixed drink, 2 beers and fish dip). Fish dip came out pretty quickly but it literally took over 35 minutes to get our drinks. Someone wanted a refill on their drink and the only way we could get it was to walk up to the bar to find our waitress and ask for another drink, she seldom checked on our table. They had one half hearted attempt at an apology for slow service but in my opinion had not excuses. I would stick closer to the main bars/restaurants in Nassau as they surely have to be better than this place.
Went here to watch CONCACAF Gold Cup Final and really enjoyed my experience. From the helpful staff/bartenders to the good wings i had a great time. All jimmy buffet music until a DJ showed up, but the music was still good. Also the prices were by far the best so far I've encountered on paradise island and Nassau, which is surprising it being a usually expensive restaurant.
This is where my group got our Power Boat Adventure to a private island. Wow, what a ride. 34 MPH on the water is a lot faster than you think.
Great staff. Recommended a taxi. Took it back to the ship/carnival and was charged 65. I literally had 60, and he walked me to bank for 5 more dollars. He couldn't speak but his tounge was a serpentbeware.
I don't get some of these reviews but ok. They do play Buffett music and videos. Our sever, Shelly, was nice and everything went according to plan. I observed other servers smiling and friendly. We had no wait at 6:15 PM. We hear wait is long after 7. Band was setting up when we left. They get docked a star for no sweet tea, but then again hardly anybody here does. For family of 3, we spent $80 out the door.
There was only a small amount of meat on the nachos. When we tried to get the management to help, it took so long for her to get there that the rest of party had finished. She argued and finial brought out some more. We have eaten in Margaritavillls all over the world and have never had this bad of an experience. Spend your money on another restaurant. Two stars may be a push but we did not get up and leave.
Place is big, staff friendly. Probably the cleanest Buffet's I've been to. Food is okay, drinks are strong!
We waited 30 mins plus to just get a drink order. Another server noticed that our original server just ditched us a tried to help us out and took us overhe stated he was swamped. The new server was good just swamped with other tables. The food was decent just not great servicemight be decent place if you go for dinner at like 6pm. This place needs to hire more servers for night rush.
All things considered, probably the best restaurant on paradise island. The staff at margaritaville was very inviting and friendly, the food was exactly what you'd expect and their prices were reasonable. Fun environment that works for both kids and single people.
Most horrible dining experience ever. Over an hour to get our disgusting food and overcharged us for watered down drinks. All we got was a pleasant "sorry". It's a tourist trap and obviously not interested in repeat business. Oh yeahtip is built into the price so you can't win. Total rip off! Zero stars if I could.
The people here are friendly but the food and service can be hit and miss. It's still fairly new so they are working out some kinks. When it's good it's good and worth doing again.
There is tons of seating and also a huge bar which you can also eat at. From what I have been told, the menu consists of a lot of regular Margaritaville menu items, but a lot with a slightly local twist.
