Absolutely atrocious service. Waited at an empty bar for almost a quarter of an hour, and have been waiting for an hour so far for the appetizers we ordered. We had to go up to the bar for both drinks and food, the wait staff didn’t come anywhere near our table. The table next to us said they’d been waiting for two hours. The food may be decent, but we’ll probably never know - our flight’s tomorrow at 7am and we’ll probably still be waiting for our food then. Avoid.

EDIT:
The food came, an hour and a half late. One of our dishes came without a dip, another over cooked. When we went up to get the bill, we got the incorrect one at first, but at least when we got ours they didn’t put on a gratuity. The chef came out and apologized, so I gave them one extra star for at least having the decency to face up to the terrible evening we had.

You don’t get what you pay for. This was, by price, an upscale restaurant. However, the food quality and taste did not match the price. The setting, essentially a patio bar, was ok. I would however applaud our wait person, Michael, as being very good. There are much better places in Hope Town to eat.

Great food and service. Nice place to spend the afternoon. There are some huge yachts that are starting to come to the marina, so it's becoming pretty fancy for a tiny island, and I think the restaurant is keeping up. Haven't had dinner there yet, but every lunch has been outstanding!

Stayed at the Inn & Marina for a week in the Key West Villa. The villa was nice, beds were comfy, kitchen was nice, double showers were clutch. Bathroom didn't have a fan though so when we dropped a steamer it lingered pretty well throughout the villa. It was the worst after I ate the grouper from the restaurant. The toilet paper was exquisite, not that cheap sand paper stuff a lot of hotels use. Housekeeping was great, fresh towels everyday, so I didn't have to worry about using my sandy genital towel to dry off after a shower. Everyone who worked at this hotel was very nice. I made friends with one dude named Billy. He was cool. I was in with the locals 😏 The restaurant was also solid - 4/5 is my rating. I got the booty squirts but I don't know what from, I think it was that damn grouper. Steer clear of the grouper. There was yoga everyday around 9am right off the water which was nice because there was that decent ocean breeze to help push away the stench from my bacon farts. The last thing I want to do is ruin someone's zen with my bacon farts 🐷 Overall it was a very hospitable place which is why I give the Hopetown Inn & Marina a 4/5 rating and The Most Peeable fountains award!!!!!

The marina it's very well run, has many amenities, clean showers, pool etc. Can get slip without electricity. Very well groomed with on site restaurant.

First class Marina, Inn and restaurant. Located on the south side of the Harbour. Bar, pool, beach games etc. are available. Dinghy dock located by the marina office with the pool in front as you come down the fairway. Also Hope Town water taxi is available to get to the other side of the Harbour. The famous Hope Town light house is on this side of the harbour and is a short walk.

I stayed at the Hope Town Inn & Marina for a week during this past New Years, and I had a great vacation. My friends and I stayed in one of the rooms of the Inn that are fully furnished with a kitchen. That was a nice surprise that allowed us to make breakfast and coffee some mornings--although the restaurant on the premise had a pretty delicious breakfast menu that was hard to beat. The lunch/dinner options are also pretty amazing (two words, remember them well: conch fritters--delicious).

Getting around Hope Town from the resort is simple and easy---there are a few boats owned by the Inn & Marina, including two safe and spacious pontoon boats, on call virtually any time to ferry you to one of several docks depending on if you want to go to the grocery store, Captain Jack's (bar), or one of several restaurants in the town. We didn't have a boat, but a boat is not necessary to get around and enjoy the island. In fact, if you wanted to explore other parts of the Island, all you have to do is call/radio the bar or resort you want to visit, and they will send a van to collect you at one of the docks with no charge.

If I did have a boat, the marina at the resort has several spots plus a few places to drop anchor in the harbor that you can rent. And we saw some pretty amazing boats ranging from giant yachts to sailboats of varying sizes. My friends and I would take the paddle boards the resort offers to go paddling out into the harbor to check out all the boats--and we even saw some turtles poking around in the harbor.

The swim up pool bar in the main pool and the more secluded second pool with its hot tub are also two amazing features that set the Hope Town Inn & Marina apart. I highly recommend focusing your attention on the local Goombay Smash drink or the Painkiller--both excellent choices from the resorts decked out bar. There's nothing better than swimming up to the bar to order another "boat drink" with an umbrella. What can be more Bahamas that that, right?!

And don't forget to go explore the decommissioned but still operating historical lighthouse located right next to the resort. You can get amazing views of the island and the town--plus the sunset from there can't be beat. (Don't forget to make a donation on your way out to keep it running!)

Lastly, I can't write a review and not give a huge shout out to the Hope Town Inn & Marina management and staff. You are not going to find better bar/food service and hospitality than there. Believe me, we tried several other dining and bar options in Hope Town and neighboring towns---this resort hands down beats everyone on service and helpfulness.

Overall, I can't recommend the Hope Town Inn & Marina enough. It definitely made my first and hopefully not last Bahamas experience relaxing and a lot of fun.
