Not familiar with the area, I wandered in the open gates and a lovely woman welcomed me from an adjacent building as I was leaving after exploring the premise (photographer, camera in hand, curious). I had the opportunity to speak with her, Norma, and the husband and wife who have dedicated their entire lives to this church, all told over a hot meal and smiles. This place, and their stories, if you're lucky to hear them, must be sought out. Unfortunately I didn't see the inside of the church, but I can only imagine how beautiful it is. Anyways, worth wandering into, full of so much love and history, and beauty in faith. One of my favorite gleaming specks on this island.
