Yesterday we flew from Freeport Bahamas to Miami. I had a carry on luggage and one bag I checked in. I had a bottle of wine that I had bought in the Bahamas. No one at the counter asked me if I had any liquids that I was carrying on, or checking in. I just checked in my bag, and that was it. I then had to go through security check. They asked me if I had any bottles. I said, yes a bottle of wine in the bag. No one was there in that area, except the security check employees. They said that I could not take it, and that I had to buy the bottle at the airport. That I should have checked it in. All this while they were all laughing at my friend and me. So, I said, ok let me go back and check it in. They said that it was going to cost me 200.00 to do that. I finally had enough and said. You know what, you fu*** keep the bottle and have fun and drink it. They were cracking up. I know that they will take that bottle and drink it. I should have thrown it out, but one thing for sure. I will never, ever be flying out or into Freeport Bahamas Airport again!

Small airport, no restaurants, coffee shops or fast food open at all the time, be patient since everything is in Island mode. Bring a sandwich and a drink if you have a long journey.

WiFi is available but doesn't work. Don't be a sucker and use the arranged bus services from the airport to the hotel/resort. There are taxis and they cost half the price. Plus when you take the bus back to the airport, your stuck in line with all the other ppl. Be smart and use a taxi from the airport, very nice ppl driving them.
