Absolutely fantastic resort - hidden gem in the Marriott portfolio. For easy access, fly into GHB and not ELH, and spend as much time as possible on the French Leave Beach. Note also that the golf cart won't be allowed on public roads so you won't take it into town.

Beautiful resort but the real treasures are found exploring the entire island! Dont be afraid to take that overgrown path because you never know what you will discover at the end!

Serene, calming, secluded and relaxing. Shamario, our guest host, was full of information, attentive and helpful. The in-room French Leave iPad application was a life saver for room service, amenities and local to-do restaurants and attractions.

Each villa is well appointed and comfy. The bed is amazingslept for 10 hours without moving. Bathroom was huge with giant walk-in shower for two. Each villa has it's own deck for viewing the amazing sunsets of Eleuthera.

The fitness facility was quite well done considering the small clientele it serves.

1648 serves excellent food and drink. While a bit over priced, we always left feeling satisfied. We will be returning to this resort very soon.

The personal golf cart for each villa made it quite easy to access the French Leave beach around a half mile to the Atlantic side of the island. The beach was easily one of the most beautiful in the Caribbean. Rudy was there to set out loungers and umbrellas, food and beverage. The beach was around a mile from end to end, providing great walking opportunity. Water was 74 in January! Amazing.

Great views of the harbour waterfront, superb service & fantastic food at their restaurant '1648' (I think named after the year the Bahamas was established in Governor's Harbour, Eleuthera)! The resort staff was very friendly! We had lunch herehosts Patrick, Melissa, Torez, and the Chef were jovial and very attentive! Nicely done. We will be back!
