The most beautiful place I've ever been to. Beautiful beaches in every direction with perfect weather. The best part of the island besides the water and beaches, are the people. Everyone is so warm and genuinely friendly. This is where I want to retire.

Spent three years working here in the mid-1980s as the PE teacher at the high school in Rock Sound. In those days the beaches were pretty quiet. Indeed, if you ever visited a beach and someone was on it, you could always easily find a deserted beach. The photo is at the cut in Winding Bay.

Best place to go in the Bahamas! Breathtakingly beautiful without all the tourists! The people are so incredibly nice and helpful! Weather was perfect in February. Pink sand everywhere you go on the Atlantic side! AMAZING Marine life!

If you never been it’s the place to visit! Over 100 beaches!
Rent a beautiful villa in Governors Harbor right at world famous French Leave Beach! It’s the best pink sand beach on the island. 1 mile long, no undertows, no rocks, sandy bottom, no crowds! absolutely a stunning beach!response / report this review -

Eleuthera is a very beautiful and homey island. The people there make you feel welcomed and appreciated. There's lots of beautiful restaurants that serve a variety of tasty meals.

I love you here. Homecoming festival almost every month are going held in settlement through out the islands. Access to banks and medical facility. Great ecotourism opportunities

Wow, what amazing beaches and water, crystal clear and warm. However a 3rd world public island, with 1st world private homes. A combination of wealthy and extremely poor.However an amazing experience, the clean beaches are superb and worth the down side. With the right infrastructure this could be a paradise,,, the natural beauty is fantastic unbeatable.
