Kimy and Terry are the best! We loved staying here! Our cottage had everything we neededevery detail was thought out. The views from the front deck are amazing. If you are looking to truly get away from it all and relax then look no further!

To explore was the plan for our recent trip to Eleuthera, Bahamas. The journey began with the choice of accommodations. Prior trips to exotic locations had us at resorts which, upon recollection, have them seemingly blending into one. The only identifiers were the excursions when we were thrust into the native land experiencing what the island had to offer. It became obvious – spend our time on location experiencing what the island had to offer.
We decided upon a quaint cottage at the Edge of the World Properties situated in Gregory Town, Eleuthera. Beginning with the booking confirmation, we became members of an elite group – family to Terry and Kimy Johnson, the owners. We were added to a private Facebook group where we had access to not only the owners, but others who have stayed before us.
There were three accommodations to choose from and we chose the Seahorse cottage. The photos confirmed this space to be ideal for our journey’s wants/needs. The cottage contained only two rooms – a half bathroom and a great room containing a queen bed and a kitchenette with every need met for cooking our meals. We had the option of two showers, both outdoors, one with only cold water and another supplying hot water.
What at first seemed odd, we were instructed to simply ask upon arriving in Gregory Town, how to find “Terry and Kimy’s place” and we did just that. This was our first introduction to the incredible hospitality of the locals.
Kimy, Terry, and Morroco (their dog) greeted us, Terry gave the grand tour. The cottage was exactly what we had anticipate, and then some. Our explorations took us all over the island, but we would spend a lot of time on property as well taking in the breathtaking view of the cove and witnessing many gorgeous sunsets from the private dock.
We were mostly prepared by reading comments and asking questions of the hosts and prior visitors. We learned that packing food was a must as food can be costly if you choose to eat out. I recommend experiencing the local cuisine but, if on a budget, cooking is the solution and our cottage had almost every necessity to do just that. We also learned that there are bugs to endure, but only if you’re lucky. I endured, my friend never had a single bite.
This vacation became a new standard by which future trips will be planned. An experience like none before; I cannot wait to return as so many have over the 27 years that the Edge of the World Properties has hosted paradise. We now have an island family and look forward to our many reunions to come.response / report this review -

We loved our time staying at Edge of the World Properties with Kimy and Terry. This was easily the most unique vacation experience that I have ever had. I will never forget the sea kayak paddling trips, the shark sighting, or driving on the island roads. We were planning our next trip before we even left the island.

We booked the Tamarind Tree Cottage and could not have been more pleased.
When we arrived, Kimmy and Terry greeted us making us feel very welcome. We had been on the island for 7 days prior to arriving at Kimmy and Terrys and I had fallen victim to noseeums. I was covered with hundreds of bites. Kimmy immediately sprang into action and provided me a pair of leggings, a Cuban blood orange, and Thayer’s Witch Hazel in hopes of providing me some sort of relief. She urged me to get into the pool and soak as their pool has bromine and it helps with the bites. She also provided us with mosquito coils to assist with keeping us (me)
bite free.
Kimmy and Terry were extremely knowledgeable about their island and were able to navigate us in the right direction to find sea treasures. We mostly hung out on the patio and in the pool, soaking in the fabulous environment that they have created.
They could not have been more accommodating we didn’t feel like guests at their cottage we felt like family. We will absolutely be back to visit our island family Kimmy, Terry and Rocco!response / report this review -

Charming Waterfront Cottages on Caribbean cove, Owners on site for assistance, Pool, Free kayaks, Paddleboards, Inexpensive, Beautiful tropical gardens with huge old coconuts., 20 minutes to North Eleuthera Airport ELH. Great property with 3 private cottages.
