I dove both this company and Stuart’s cove (which was far superior even though they’re a much busier operation).

Would recommend you try out Stuart Coves instead.

Thank goodness for checking your own equipment- My rental scuba equipment at Bahama divers was OLD, very out-dated and I had to replace my BCD and reg TWICE to find one that worked. Even then my Reg leaked in the first dive and squealed the whole time (annoying) and then my tank was leaking the second dive - in which the boat captain told me not to worry about it and sent me in anyway. Thank goodness I’m great on my air consumption- but still annoying.
The staff wasn’t very friendly, and it’s inconvenient that they have a schedule every day and therefore have “mandatory” dives. We couldn’t request to go to certain sites to to see certain animals like we could at Stuart coves.

The visibility was SO poor the first dive, and the divemaster didn’t communicate with me at all- thank goodness for my dive computer because he brought us up at 25 mins (and went up WAY too fast with everyone).

The second dive was a little better but still not amazing. Stuart coves has MUCH better dive sights than Bahamas divers.
Even though it’s a few dollars cheaper, it’s teally not enough to make it worth it compared to Stuart’s.

Went in looking for a video light. Almost no stock for camera or lighting gear, apathetic service at the counter, and ridiculous prices for a go pro tray.

After reading the reviews of others I would have to admit that I didn’t sign up for a dive so I don’t know about that part of the service. What I did experience I didn’t like. I was only in town to do some snorkeling and pick up some gear that I felt I needed to finish off my diving kit. First I don’t feel like the selection was there. Second the guy behind the counter was no help at all. Finally, and I feel this is my fault, the items I got I could have gotten for half the price. Lesson learned I guess.

At only $60 for a half day snorkeling, the price was great!

The staff were all locals and also very good and provided above average service given what I've seen in the Bahamas. Wayne and Maunice who helped on the ship were great. The bus driver and ship captain, a man with 40 years experience in the diving industry (can't remember his name), was remarkable, entertaining everyone with good jokes and taking care of us. He also let a couple of us steer the boat!

The ship ride to the snorkeling site (a ship wreck) was great and refreshing.

The snorkeling itself could have had a bit more upfront instructions, I almost choked on breathing on water, but the staff (mainly Wayne) answered all of my questions, so I could enjoy. A staff member always watched to see we were alive. Afterwards, I was hungry and had a good tired feeling.

Back at the shop, they offered us a USB with video of the trip, but there was no hustling or pressure on us to buy.

Overall, very good experience at this price point and would recommend!

Great experience diving 4 times with Bahama Divers. Yesterday we went to dive to the famous Blue Hole, following a coral garden, and went to two shipwrecks a day before. There were 12 divers and 3 dive masters supporting the dive to the Blue Hole, divers coming from USA, Canada and Japan. Bahamas divers checked everybody's gear before letting you off from the boat, adjusted equipment if needed, then helped to get back to the boat and rinse the gear. Dive masters ensured we did not exceed the depth of 30m diving in the Blue Hole :-), pointed to sharks, turtles and stingrays, they also filmed the movie for us.

Biggest dive shop in Nassau, great for beginners. They can point you to right directions if you are tech/cave.

“If we wanted to snorkel we would hsve booked for snorkeling not scuba diving” We were on a carnival cruise and I always book dives with the local dive shops to avoid crowds and being mixed with snorkeling groups. I called and booked months in advance confirming the max divers was a max of 10-12 divers. We arrived via private taxi to the shop and the dive master showed videos of the morning dives. Our excitement was rising. We asked what we were diving and we were informed either a shallow reef of 40 feet or a wreck. I expressed that since we only had one dive we preferred the wreck so we could have a good variety of creatures vs possibly just reef fish. The check in gal told me when I asked that we had 6 divers so far. I breathed a sigh of relief as I don't enjoy crowds when diving. To my shock and dismay they load the divers and about 25 snorkels. It was the most crowded boat I have ever been on. We travel about 40 minutes to our dive site. We are then informed divers first - they choose the reef vs the wreck. I still held faith that a nice 40 foot dive we could see a good bit and enjoy relaxing with the sea life.

So we dive and and we circle a very small reef for 55 minutes at 10-12 feet!!!!! Yes the max depth was 19 feet when lying on the bottom I am certain when we get back to the shop I will calmly tell the shop monster that we wanted to dive not snorkel he would credit is back the $289 charge we were charged for 3 divers. When back to the shop, I share with the assistant manager that had we been told we would be doing a 10 foot reef dive with dozens of snorkels I would have declined but I was not told that. He said "I am sorry our afternoon dive is shallow". Shallow??? Really ??? I live in Florida and can do 10 foot dives everyday for free. I am confident when somebody from upper management sees this post they will credit us back the monies charges as this was false advertising and frankly a Shame as I could have booked with the cruise but choose to support the locals instead of the ship. So my point in sharing is divers beware - ask if you will be diving or swimming in 10 feet of water. Carrying 3 dive bags on a ship fior a dive such as this was by far the most disappointing experience I have had in my 30 years of diving.

    Pros:
    - Price seems fair
    - Good boat equipment
    - Good suggestion to purchase fish food-fair price $1.00. Enabled us to view lots of fish. Kids loved that.

    Cons:
    - Unfriendly boat captain-I'm vacationing with my family and expect people in the tourist industry to have customer friendly attitudes.
