Staying at any Atlantis hotel gives you access to the water park. I tried 2 different slides and the rapid river ride, and went to see the different aquariums/lagoons. There wasn't a long line in any of the rides, thankfully.
The challenger slide was fun (you have to take off your water shoes, otherwise you won't slide), and so was the Serpent Slide (a bit scary in the beginning because the first part was pitch-black in some parts, but once you're at the tunnel inside the shark aquarium, all's good).
We were confused about where to enter the rapid river ride/the current (naming is inconsistent between the map and what was on the TV/website), and the guy manning the exit wasn't very helpful-- he could see that we were confused, and only told us that it was the exit when I was about to get on a tube; he didn't say where the entrance was until I asked. When we eventually got to the entrance and on our tubes (the staff there were more helpful), it was not as fast as I thought it would be, and I think I was sitting on the tube incorrectly because it strained my neck a bit, but I did enjoy it.
We were told that Aquaventure closes at 6 PM, but I saw some people in the slides after that time, so I think we were misinformed and it really closes at 7 PM.response / report this review -

Fun but crowded. The river rapids was nice but would be better if you could continuously ride it. Can’t believe they make you get off.

Came here on a cruise ship and It was like a maze trying to find some bracelets. My aunt and I went on a slide and we had the wrong bracelets so we couldn't do anything there. When my mom and other family members came back from the slide they were on they said to flip the bracelet inside out because it was white, and we needed a white bracelet. It worked and we went on a slide called the drop or something. I expected better.

My family of 5 visited Aquaventure as day visitors from the Disney Dream. There does not appear to be any capacity limits-- lines are incredibly long, and there are not enough chairs available. Staff, aside from the drink waiters, are unfriendly. We would've made the best of it and not returned and probably not bothered even writing this review had that been the gist of our experience. However, being robbed gave us insight worth sharing. Our backpack was left unattended while we went on one slide-- there were no chaises available so we asked a staff member if it would be OK for us to leave our bag (with disposable cameras, flip flops, coverups and sunscreen inside it), nearby her chair. She said yes. When we returned to retrieve our bag- the employee and our bag was gone. After much hassle, we were directed to a small "Security" shed with one woman staffer present. She took the report and sat back down at her desk. My husband had gone to get our actual valuables out of the locker so I waited by security. As I waited, a couple approached in tears to report their missing child. The security lady took their report with the exact same nonchalance that she had treated mine. It was absolutely appalling to watch a mother tearfully describe her son's bathing suit while this "security" person looked off lackadaisically like there were a million other things requiring her attention. Needless to say, we didn't get our bag back but Atlantis did try to charge us $50 for the locker key that was in our stolen bag. HA. They watched us board our van back to the ship in wet bathing suits, barefoot and didn't bat an eye. We spent $919 on tickets and were treated like garbage, but the lack of humanity shown to the people missing their child at a sprawling water park bordered by the ocean was perhaps the single worst example of customer service I have ever witnessed in my life. Buyer beware, they will take your money with a scowl and not give one iota about your safety or enjoyment.

Ryan had a great time here. We spent every single day of my 10 year anniversary here. He loved the rides Even when a oversized human, required us to give up our tube, and spot in line. He was always happy and having a great time. Staff was friendly and invited me back for "the jump". Rides didn't require a lot of standing around. If you are at the Atlantis Plan a Day here.

Great place for the entire family. Park is clean and the staff is friendly. Walking distance to the beach. I think the most hidden gem there the lazy river rapids. So much fun.

Way way too expensive. Me and my girlfriend arrived on one of the cruise ships this morning and figured we would try and visit the aqua venture. We had read that the price was 135 usd on the website which is still expensive but bearable so we took a taxi over to the front desk to buy our tickets. When we arrived at the register she wanted 150 usd per person which is outrageous. We went to cabbage beach instead!

We arrived by a cruise and paid $150 per person to enter the water park on before the Christmas 2015. It was over crowded. Staff are careless. The park self has much less features and fun than our local water park for only $40 per person.
It totally wasted our time and money. We would rather spend time on a nice public beach than this over-advertised and over-priced place.response / report this review -

Horrible experience. Making the best of it with my family. At least half the amenities are closed all week. We were here about 5 years ago and a very different experience. We were offered a 200 dollar credit on our bill, but anything less than a full credit of our stay is not acceptable. When you pay full price, you expect a full experience. I would not recommend coming to this place any time soon. If this many restaurants and pools were going to be closed, we never would have come here. All we hear from all the other guests is the same thing, so I know its not just us. A total fraud. If I could have given zero stars, I would have. Do not come here.

This place is the opppsite of the comercials the slides were average. And not well kept. Super packed. Hard to navigate. Life guards are exceptionally rude. The only nice ones we met were at the Kiddie lazy river. Honestly you can get a lot more bang for your buck else where.

This was the worst experience on our two week trip in the Bahamas. The place is so crowded that you can hardly move around, and the park is also very badly planned. To get our wristbands to enter the park we had to walk around the entire Atlantis hotel. In total we were sent to six different places and they all turned out to be wrong. After almost two hours we finally reached the Aquaventure park. The queues were extremely long and the layout and organisation was very badly planned. To be able to go on the rides you need an inflatable ring. But these are not handed out in an organized way by the staff, resulting in the same people being able to go up and down the slides, never passing the rings on to new people in line. For these extreme prices I highly recommend everyone to spend their vacation somewhere else.

Good kids area but make sure your kids are above 48 inches for the slides or you may be better off just buying a pool pass. I highly recommend that you wear aqua shoes. The paths are really hot and rough on the feet. Lunch for four was $56.00 was good but pricy. It was also really crowded with cruise ship passages.

Great place to take the family but also very pricey. It is like the Disney world of the Caribbean make sure you pack what you need or try to go to a local store. Overall, great experience and perfect for kids/families.

A Little Mislead. So we booked our flights, then went to book the hotel and discovered that of the 9 water slides my 7 year old 42" daughter could go on exactly 1 due to their height restrictions. The information is on the web site, and we admittedly should have looked a little closer, but they advertise as a place for kids so couldn't they offer a wider range of slides? As a comparison Universal's Volcano Bay has 14 slides my daughter can go on 10 of them. So we canceled our trip to Atlantis and will be going to Orlando. Disney, Universal, Sea World all have water parks which will accommodate little people! maybe we will reconsider Atlantis in a few years maybe.

Very cool water park inside Atlantis.. not too many slides, and the lines move quickly.
There is not a typical "Lazy River" ride Here it is called the "Rapid River".. and for good reason! It is over one mile long and would not be described as "lazy"!response / report this review -

Fun place to spend a day. Enjoyed the Rapids river ride and the other slides. Pools were nice lots of chairs available and always get fresh towel if you need. Lots of nice food stalls. Fun watching sharks get feed. Lockers seem pretty pricey at $16 for the day although you get access to your stuff all day.
