Location is quite nice. You can sit outside or inside. View is great from the terrace so if the weather allows it you should sit outside.
Staff was also very nice and chatty but that’s really where it endsI was surrounded my obnoxious Americans who spoke so loud that they entertained the rest of the establishment. For food I had a Caesar salad and the shrimp pasta. Usually you can’t go wrong here but it was not even average. 75$ including a cocktail would be more than okay if the quality would be up to par but this was a total waste of time & money. The food and service is great! Our waitress, Melissa is the best. She is fast, efficient and friendly we love the way she interacts with her guests.

Stopped by for lunch on Wednesday. No crowd and gorgeous view of the turquoise sea below. Blackened grouper sandwiches all around were delicious. Waiter (Donny) was charming and helpful. Local spearfishers worked the water nearby and we saw a shark lazily glide by along with a variety of fish. Beautiful grounds and a great oudoor setting for Governor's Harbor.

Food is incredible; service is friendly and on point. Recommend having whatever the special is since is likely to be freshly caught or picked that day. Patrick the restaurant manager is a perfect host. Pricey, but so are most places on the island and the high quality makes it worth the splurge. Monday night burger special is well worth it - excellent and reasonably priced burgers on an island where beef is hard to source!

I've been to hundreds of restaurants across the world and this one deserves an award for poor service. We waited an inordinate amount of time for everything - from arrival with the protocol on whether we had reservations even though nearly no one was there, to actually getting the menu in hand, the first drink took nearly 1/2 hour to make! I'm not big on complaining so we politely waited to see how bad this could actually get. Our meal came out so late that the waitress seemed embarrassed so she without prompting ordered us free drinks. Sometimes things can go wrong do I'm always willing to give a place a second chance. So a few days later we returned just for drinks this time. We sat at the bar thinking there may have been some issues with communication the previous visit. There was only one table occupied in the entire place. The bartender took our drink order, made it after a 10-15 minute wait and just left it in the shaker bottle and decided to instead serve the other table. All he had to do is pour the drinks in a glass and give it to us. After waiting for 10 more minutes we just left. Keep in mind the whole time we were polite and did not complain at all. Judging from the service it appears the restaurant attempted to be exclusive but fell short of even being pretentious. Save your frustration and visit elsewhere. Anywhere around provided much better service.

1648 serves excellent food and drink. While a bit over priced, we always left feeling satisfied. The blackened grouper, paired with rice, carrots and peppers was outstanding. I'm still talking about the miss glazed mahi mahi, with chorizo, shrimps, cherry tomatoes and slaw. Muy delicioso.

fantastic!!! Trish is wonderful, as are all the employees here, from what we saw! The food was perfectly done and so scrumptious that we plan to go back once more before we go home! She had the grouper and he had the jerk chicken and both shared the tasty Bahama Guava Duff, and both so very happy with the choices! All we can say is "WOW!!!"

Overpriced entrees. Order the pizza - it was excellent. Arugula salad with goat cheese was more expensive than the pizza and was 99% iceberg and nonexistent goat cheese, which we were told was "grated" on top. There were some specks of white, which is what I assume was the cheese. Good service and a nice band, but $130 for 2 pizzas, 2 salads, 2 drinks, and 2 sodas is a bit too much. We were chased away from the pool after dinner when we went to check it out. Make sure not to dip your feet in the pool if you're not staying there.

Great location with a stunning view over Governor's Harbour for sunset. Excellent food for lunch and dinner and set in a stylish, modern boutique hotel. Service can be spotty and watch the prices, but otherwise a great spot!

This was our favorite restaurant in Eleuthera overall. The prices were higher than most but the food and atmosphere were both fantastic. We got a burger (big, perfectly seared, with all the garnishment), conch chowder (creamy with bits of conch, bacon and chives), chicken satay (with a delicious spicy sauce) and sweet potato fries (best I've had anywhere).
I would highly recommend making this your "special night out" spot but going early enough you can catch a little sunlight on the water and beautiful scenery.response / report this review -

French Leave Resort and its reastaurant are gorgeous. It's hard to see such a wonderful place like this: amazing location, new bungalows with first class furnitures and a golf cart to use for the nearest beach (french leave beach). The staff is so friendly that you will not go away anymore
