A lovely place to stay! Beautiful rooms, great vibe and staff that know their stuff, they can make great recommendations about what to see, do and eat in Rio :)

I stayed at this family operated hostel over the summer and was very happy I did. The location is in the Santa Teresa neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro and not far away from the arches in Lapa.
The hostal offers many things including a couple of private rooms all with their own bathroom in addition to the multi person guest rooms. There's a bar area downstairs that sometimes local performers will come and perform there. Even recently they held a Halloween party.
I stayed in a private room with a very high ceiling and comfortable bed. Breakfast is included and will consist of fruits and cereal alongside juice and coffee. It is a typical Brazilian breakfast. You have full use of the the kitchen downstairs should you decide to cook something you bought from the nearby market. Great staff and they will help you book excursions as well.
