RESTAURANTE PESSIMO, nao respeita as leis de transito. Estacionam carros em cima da ciclovia. Nao respeitam os ciclistas. O correto para fazer o embarque e desembarque é estacionar ao lado da ciclovia, assim as pessoas podem descer com segurança. Nao tem o que argumentar, é infraçao gravissima. Respeitem para serem respeitados. Pessimo exemplo que voces dão.

TL;DR: Great food (especially the Gnocchi), beautiful place, laid back atmosphere.
Buttina's experience starts outside, one block from the restaurant, in the hustle and bustle of the Benedito Calixto flea market, always full of locals and tourists on Saturdays. When you enter the house itself, you're greeted by Oscar Niemeyer sketches, drawn on the wall, as if he had once squatted there. Move to the back and you're on the lofty, glass-walled main room, with a Jabuticaba tree in a corner (they make ice cream from the fruits when it's in season), a balcony and the garden one level above. Go up the stairs, and grab an outside table among the trees if you can. All the while, feel the relaxed atmosphere of a lazy weekend lunch at a friend's home, heightened by the simple, naif decor.
Now it's time to choose your food, a process you undertake while eating their crispy snacks (fried little pieces of pasta, but don't think about that). Not that choosing the food is hard: you should go for the homemade Gnocchi, a house specialty made so light that it seems the potatoes from which it's made were grown in clouds. Take your time (the service isn't always the fastest) and save room for dessert. They usually have a daily special, and in season there's the Jabuticaba ice cream, but every day you can have the delicious Cuori de Cioccolato, a perfect combination of chocolate cake, chocolate fudge and homemade passion fruit ice cream.
