Great landscape and art exhibitions. Rarely crowded. Bike parking available.
Iconic building. Interior was unexpectedly closed so it was impossible to visit. Perhaps best to confirm opening times before tracking out to the middle of nowhere. Still, stunning exterior.
I love the Architecture . View . Cleanliness . Security . Friendly staff . Beautiful location . Must visit. Please check the opening hours before visit . Required drinking water fountain . Clean washrooms. Running short of toilet papers . Pride of Niteroi city .
Great icon of the brazilian's modernist-architecture. The museum is amazing, with stunning views that contrast with the sculptures and paintings. They close the museum and it's square at night though.
The museum itself is the greatest piece of art. Also you can enjoy great views of Rio de Janeiro. They also have a very nice bistro there.
If you're staying in Santa Teresa, you can access this by the free streetcar to the stop just before the aqueduct. When you get off, go down the stairs and follow the downhill path on the left and make the first right around the block. Continue straight and it'll be on your right.
Beautiful. A fine visit for family with an interactive exhibit for small children. A delightful space with marvelous views of Rio. Take the ferry. Enjoy the Bistro for a charming lunch.
An architecturally stunning gallery on the most beautiful promontory. The site itself is worth the visit, but the exhibition space and restaurant must be experienced!!
Oscar Niemeyer iconic museum in Niterói, where you can go by ferry, car or bus. A must visit place. No need to pre buy tickets. It also has a bar, and the characteristic magic of being there. Private collections exposing also, changing every 30 days or 60 days I don't remember very well this last detail.
As a Niemeyer fan, I loved the building and the views. However the exposition is scant, at best. The only reason I gave I two stars was because it was free on Wednesday when we went. I'd be annoyed if I had to pay for the few pieces in there. If you're coming from anywhere in Rio it is not worth the trip unless you want to see the building itself or the panoramic views.
The view is excellent and the art and architecture is cool. However, only one floor was open when I visited, so it was a little expensive for the experience I had.
An amazing place! The view is incredible! I paid for the tickets R$12 to visit the art exhibition! Worth it!
The architecture for itself is worth the trip.
The contemporary art selection I was confronted with as I visited was well contextualized and can transport one to deep reflexion.
Just its location and building design is worth the trip. One of the best views of Rio de Janeiro
Very nice Place to have a view in niteroi. The restaurante serves very good food, the museum does not have a lot of attractions inside. however, in the restaurante there are very nice horizontal windows to see all the bay. Worth going to have lunch there !
