  Recreio is not the best beach in the Rio area, but this cool little hike and the waves make it worth the stop. It's a 30 minute hike to the top with a section that requires you to pull yourself up from a rope that has been tied by someone.
  The rope section is a bit sketchy, but the views from up top are worth it!!!! I've hiked to the top of this thing a handful of times!!!

  The best place to take in the sunset in Recreio. However I wouldn't say it was an easy ascent, one section has a fixed rope to help get to the top. It is definitely more of a scramble than a walk. Having said that I was wearing flip flops when I went up.
