Had dinner in the hotel's restaurant, Tereza. Food and service were very good. Meal was on the expensive side for Santa Teresa, however it was good value.

I discovered Relais et Chateaux as a young professional, in France, in the 1990s! On a business trip to Brasilia (Sep 21-25, 2015), I decided to spend some time in Rio. When Lewis and I discovered that there was a Relais et Chateaux hotel, we jump to the occasion! The hotel has character [related to the Santa Teresa Section of town, and its story], its interior design is sleek, simple, perfect, and the staff attentive. Our room was a splendid refuge, the pool a relaxing hub, and the views a splendid invite to get out and about (walks, soccer game, soiree cabaret.). The clientele is eclectic (Brazilian and foreign tourists..in the know; professionals, and a few locals enjoying the Bar, and/or a special event.
