The rooms are subpar for the price. WiFi did not work at all. The restaurant food is purely a buffet with lousy choice offerings. The front desk never answered when I called. The shower was excellent however.
On arrival we used the free courtesy phone (green in colour and clearly marked with the name of the hotel) to ask for the shuttle to collect us from the airport. The phone is on a pillar, between the bottom of some escalators and the hire car offices in the Arrivals area. There are clear instructions in both Portuguese and English. We were collected from outside Departures (again a clearly marked spot with the name of the hotel) within 5 minutes. The shuttle bus is also clearly marked, so there should be no mistakes. The hotel staff were welcoming and kind. The rooms were clean and perfect for an overnight stay. Breakfast was excellent.
I chose to stay at Linx for its location near the airport. There was no email about the shuttle service the hotel provides and we had to ask around at the airport to find out about it. The hotel appears modern but then the first room we were given had no functioning AC. The second room smelled like cigarette smoke. The third like body odor. The cleanliness of the shower was low and the AC is positioned directly over the bed so the cold air hits you too strongly. It was a pretty terrible experience and we were exhausted for our flight the next day. They do provide breakfast and wifi.
Perfect hotel for an overnight stay near the Rio International Airport. Shuttle goes every few minutes (Pay attention: it's stop is at the second floor where the departing flights are. So if you arrive, go up the escalators instead of going straight outside. Then on the second floor go outside and walk all the way to the right) Hotel itself is simple (think IBIS style) but clean and has a gym and a large pool. Good price quality relation.
The location was perfect, along with the free shuttle bus. We landed around 11:30pm at night from a long flight from NZ and this was just what we needed; a comfy bed, dark room and an amazing shower. We were lucky to spot the instructions online.on how to get the shuttle. We walked to the arrivals between exit door C and D and found the Linx phone. We then met it upstairs outside door D on the right (Door D is closer to the side you arrive, except upstairs. We loved the service at the place, so friendly and spoke English. Loved the later check out and the breakfast was just perfect! Highly recommend this hotel!
Not bad, food is really good, rooms are neat and clean, good place if u want to stay over for connecting flights, its right outside the GIG airport, and every half an hour hotel is providing shuttle service to GIG airport with last service at 00:00 in the mid night
It serves its purpose. It's close to the airport, is comfortable, and has basically what you need, but there is nothing around the hotel.
The hotel was clean, quiet and well-serviced. The staff were very helpful, arranging taxis for me and they even arranged a breakfast to be prepared outside of the serving hours as I had slept through the breakfast serving time. It would be useful to include information on the website as to where to meet the shuttle at the airport, and the location of the phone booths at the airport to call reception (one which does not work).
This hotel in conveniently located in the Car Rentals area at RIO Intl Airport. Very close to terminal 2. It offers a buffet breakfast. Not very tasty thou; but good enough to start your day. The rooms are cozy and you can sleep all night long without any noise. Prices are a little bit expensive but I think the proximity to the airport is worth it. Airport shuttle is included
The room is confortable. There is no room service. The hotel is in front oficial the airport.
Not bad, food is ok, rooms are neat and clean, good place if u want to stay over for flights, right outside the GIG airport
Breakfast realy ok and rooms are simple but clean and OK
Linx Hotel Int. Airport Galeão is a nice hotel near Galeao Airport at Rio de Janeiro. Clean, with confortable beds and a very nice breakfast (but there's no room service, you have to go to the bar located besides the reception desk). However, it is located very far away from the city centre and tourist locations.
Good service. Fast front desk. Not very good breakfast.
Ended up stranded in Rio because of engine troubles of my Air Canada flight and they put me up twice in this hotel. The rooms are modern and bright. The shower excellent, it's one of the these rain shower types. The beds are great, and so is the pool: Long and endless, you can actually swim in it. The breakfast buffet has spread with a great selection of fruit. So all in all it's a lot less harsh then roughing it at the airport ;-)
