Nice, but make sure you get information about tours in other languages before you go in case you don't understand Portuguese.

Named after it's old purpose the ilha fiscal "fiscal ilsand" was a customs outpost built by request of the Brazilian Imperial family by engineer Adolpho del Vecchio in a neogothic style in 1889. Today the location is property of the Navy of Brazil and hosts visits and events.

Wow such a wonder the Emperor as “one dedicated case, worthy for a shiny jewel.” The building Ilha Fiscal was inaugurated at the begins of 1889 by the Emperor. Among the attractives it stands out the lounges that houses temporal and permanents expositions that reveals the history of the Marine and the island, a collection of stained glass and stoneworks, columns, arches, flowers and imperial symbols

It is an important place of Brazil history. Only 3 guided visits per day at 12:10, 14:30 and 15:30. Actually going by small boat to the island. Unfortunately this is not possible to visit the submarine for the moment.

Nice, guides are full of enthusiasm. Nice view on Rio. Bookings at the Museu Naval start at 11a.m. and can only be done for the same day.
