São Paulo's classic! But it's too much salami ('Mortadela' there). You can order it with less - It will not be heresy - chill out.
There's a brown/yellow spicy mustard sauce. For me not good - but taste it.
If you're not alone. I suggest one order the sandwich (Mercadao) and other one take a 'Pastel'. You have 2 excellent options to taste this two Brazilian classics.
The sandwich at itself is good. Order with beer.

Try the "mortadela" sandwich and the cod fish pastel. That's all I'm gonna say. And that's more than enough. :)

One is not in Sao Paulo if you haven't eat at Hocca.
Original creator of the city’s famous codfish pastry (pastel de bacalhau) an iconic dish that’s part of São Paulo’s cultural heritage..

Love the spicy hot sauce. I want 10!!

I ordered Legendario-Bolinho De Bacalhau, it like fish corn dog without the skewers.

I personally not a fan..felt it is too dry, but love the experience.

This is the best place in the market to taste regional dishes like "lanche de mortadela", "Lanche de ceviche" and "Queijo", not only is a clean spot with friendly people, but also food is delicious and prices are good.
