Great place! Not a bar though, as it is mentioned in Google. A proper restaurant, I would say even a steak house.

Always busy with tourists and locals. All the waiters are 300 years old and highly skilled in getting you drunk:-) Food is ok. Nice place to see and, sometimes, meet people. Easy food, good beer en excellent caipirinhas.

Great food and not too badly priced. Go for the fried chicken and garlic and the fillet you cook on the table

This Restaurant was a real surprise. We ordered a dish for 2 persons with different kinds of meat on it. Sizzling plate with nice chunks of meat on it. The service of the staff was good and efficient. they helped us selecting the meal They tried their very best to communicate in English. Pricing was average but money worth spent. My collegue had a real nice steak. Look nice and according to his munching, was very tasty as well.

Always crouded, full of locals and tourists. Take the picanha, they serve it rare and sliced on a piping hot skillet so you can grill the slices to your liking. Waiters are very friendly. Portions are big and food is of good quality. Only down point I can think of is that your clothes will smell like grilled meat from all the people who order the picanha. But that is part of it. Recommended, 5 stars!

The restaurant food was absolutely wonderful. It was amongst the best lunches we had in our whole Rio stay. I would highly recommend this place and it has a really good atmosphere from the song inspiration.

This is the first time Google ratings disappointed me. The only thing this restaurant has going for it is Girl from Ipanema.
The steak was good, not great; the fish fried in butter, not grilled as the menu said; the vegetables awful and when my partner described the wine as "going well with the food" she was insulting the wine, not complimenting it.

Finally, the 10% service charge is not worth it either. There are better places in the area.

Loved it. Loved that the decor and service were both old school, felt like it could have been 1964. The servings are pretty large, could easily be enough for 2 small eaters. Prices somewhat premium but this is history right here. Recommended.

The food is amazing. Which might even excuse a slighter higher price.
The ambience is clearly bohemian. And the waiters are very friendly. I DO recommend it! :D

Great place if you're a tourist looking to experience a part of Rio's bossa-nova history. The food is OK and the drinks also if you just say with the beer. If you are looking for a good bar, drink and eat for a great price, just simply go somewhere else.

Good place with a great history. I'm big fan of the song girl from ipanema. But food is very fat and portion are too big. Brazilian wine was ok.

We love this place. On 2 trips to Rio, we ate here probably 3 times each trip. The picanha is amazing. Best in Rio and can fill 2 hungry guys no problem. Service is fantastic and everyone is always very accommodating and happy to have you eat there. Highly recommend on a trip to Rio!
