  I rode the hotel bicycle 🚲 to Parque Lage, at the bottom of the rock where Corcovado is located, parked and chained the 🚲 and took a most amazing nature trail 3.8 km (2.3 miles) up hill, visited beautiful Jesus and then jogged back down.
  A bit strenuous but doable for folks in decent physical shape.
  I will do it again in a heart beat. Don’t bring valuables as the (small) potential for robbery is always there.

  We visited Christ the Redeemer on 20 September 2014. The train is nice way to travel up mountain but waiting in line takes a long time, even out of peak times. Prepare to have long queue at top waiting to go down.
