  One of my favorite places in Rio. If you love plants and arts and crafts, this is definitely a place for you. This is basic a huge greenhouse that sells all types of exquisite tropical foliage from all sizes. There is a great store inside, filled with works from local artisans. The surroundings are also very beautiful and lush.

  A Chácara Tropical foi um grato achado. Na Estrada do Itanhangá, próxima ao fim da descida do Alto da Boa Vista, é um mix de garden e culinária. Com um restaurante charmoso incrustado no meio do garden, a Chácara dispõe de uma variedade grande de plantas, insumos e artigos de decoração. Com destaque para a seção de bonsai. Todos lindos. O restaurante é convidativo para um café da manhã, ou ainda um lanche no fim da tarde. Eles também servem almoços, mas nunca experimentamos. Ah, a Chácara não abre às segundas-feiras.

  Amazing choice of plants and flowers, with a nice restaurant inside. Great advice on caring for the plants. Parking inside and just across the street.
