    A catedral é um edifício belo em sua arquitetura e simples na sua ornamentação. Não chega a poluir os olhos com excesso de detalhes. A entrada é grátis e aparentemente missas ainda são realização lá.
    Também se encontram nesta catedral o túmulo de D. Pedro II, sua mulher Teresa Cristina, Princesa Isabel e o Conde d'Eu.

    A Catedral de Sao Pedro Alcantara e realmente uma obra de arte ..linda ,imponente em estilo neo gotico ..em dias nublados chega a ser assustadora em sua imponencia o interior tambem e muito bonito e conta com vitrais de rara beleza..alem dos túmulos com restos mortais de D Pedro ll e D Teresa Cristina tem outros tumulos de antigos bispos da diocese petropolitana ..muita historia num so lugar ..vale a pena visitar !

    Very interesting architecture, neo gothic influence.

    Remains of the late emperor D. Pedro II, his wife Teresa Cristina, his daughter Princess Isabel(who freed the slaves) and her husband Count D. (Gaston).
