Will not recommend this hostel. I'm sorry, but the hostel is unorganized, dirty, staff no friendly and they have people living there (no travelers) It was really cheap, so I guess it was good for what we paid but will not recommend it if you can afford a better hostel.

After reading all these bad reviews I decided to give this place a chance because I was on tight budget.So I went to the reception guy,but asked if I could have a look at the room before I pay for it. THEY DID NOT ALLOW ME TO DO SO!!!! I asked him again with different words to make sure he understood the question! Yes!He didn't allow me to have a look at the room before I book !!!! Shocking right ??!
So I left !
However the young man who opened the door greeted me very politely and the one at the reception was friendly too.

Great hostel one block away from the metro and 2 blocks from the beach. Its clean, well located, with nice breakfast, cozy beds and chilled atmosphere

We bookt a 6 bed dorm they only have 12 bed dorms and they say at agoda free parking but you have to pay there is no free parking and they have only 2 bathrooms for 40 people.
Don't stay there.

Great location close to metro in Botafogo. Only thing I didn't like was lockers are separate from dorms. Otherwise incredible atmosphere and great place. Will return!

I decided to spend some days in Rio and my friends recommended this place. Great value for money, lovely staff and atmosphere. The hostel has an amazing location near all the tourist attractions. All the areas were very clean and the ladies taking care of it are very friendly! Will be back for sure!!
