A place of faith and worship. Very beautiful.
This is the top Brazilian place for Catholics in Brazil. So if you are catholic (as 75% of the population in Brazil) this is "the place to go to". It is a very touristic city and Aparecida City is a small town where EVERYTHING works around this huge Basilica. You can find "mammy daddy" restaurants (outside the Basilica) or branded restaurants in the food court. The best way to go is by car (2hs driving from Sao Paulo) and the parking is not that expensive (about 8 US Dollars or 20 Brazilian reais for 12 hours parking). There are many attractions such as Wax museum 30 Reais per person, a little aquarium and a Cable car that connects the Basilica to the Higher point in the city (35 reais per person). Again, if you are Catholic I recommend you to go. It is nice and a different experience!
Wonderful!! My experience today was fantastic. May God bless all the people that are reading this comment.!! 👏👏
This is a peace place, where all people came to pray to Our Lady of Aparecida from Brazil. The church is big and very beautiful. The national day of Aparecida is 12 October.
Vale a pena
It's a marvelous building, but you need time to see all of it. Even if you don't believe in God, it's worth a visit to check out the buildings.
A lovely place to pray and sightseeing, offers a great structure for visitors with food court, many clean bathrooms and water fountains.
The celebrations and the place's history are heartwarming.
A guaranteed great experience.
Where: Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Aparecida
What: A basilica
How was it: It was great, really nice structure inside and out. Sadly the weather wasn't the greatest when we visited, but we still found the beauty in this place.
They have a small market where you can buy some souvenirs and places to eat.
It's worth going to see the old and the new basilica.
