Relaxed restaurant almost on the beach. Lovely food
Bar on street level was great with excellent views from the bay wall. Try the bolinhas de bacalhau - Brazilian codfish balls!
Great Bacalhlao and superb view
This place is hugely popular in weekends and after work. Food is great.
There are two main concepts. The upstairs restaurant which serves excellent Bacalhao (in various forms) as well as other dishes. Here you can have lunch sitting down and enjoying the views. The second concept is the outside wall along the waterfront. In weekends and warm afternoons this place will aggregate hundreds of thirsty Brazilians enjoying pestiscos and beer while hanging out along the waterfront. Sitting on the walk. Standing in the street. Dancing? All with the beer bottle on the ground beside them and glass / food in hand, enjoying company.
For your family dinner take the first option. Out for a glass with your crowd take the second. Enjoy!
Bar place in a very nice area, where you can spend great time with your friends, fresh beer, caïpirihnas, fresh and quality snacks, I recommand !
I have no clue how this restaurant could even reach more than 3 stars, has several prizes at Tripadvisor and Co. First, the staff seemed to be friendly, I chose "only" a drink and a small vegetarian plate, then they were already acting a bit weird.
Food was okayish but for the price not worth it at all.
The atmosphere was not that nice as many kids were running around and people watched youtube videos.
Last, the optional tip of 10% was not optional at all as the waiter insisted to get it and then they did not accept debit cards.
Not so fond of the restaurant itself. It's very small. The great deal here is to go to the bar counter and order the typical Brazilian tapas, bolinho de bacalhau and pastel, beer and seat across from it on the famous Mureta da Urca. From the short wall, right by the Guanabara Bay you will experience a local favorite. Chill out with beer, great snacks and a wonderful view.
Great place ! You can admire the nice view and see the planes taking off.
I choose the fried shrimp with rice, it was excellent and mostly inexpensive.
The Caipirinha is also excellent !
One of the best restaurants in town.
Outside seating.
Way back in the early two thousands I visited that place and enjoyed the scenic views.
It I were just discussing the downstairs bar and outdoor drinking, I would give it five stars. The petiscos are amazing and the drinks SUPER COLD. It's a great place to come to during the sunset with a lover. The restaurant is above average but not that great. One of the best places in Rio to get a moqueca, however.
Food is bad and overpriced and the service was unfriendly. Tourist trap. Maybe if you're loaded you can somewhat enoy it or if you just come to have a beer by the bay.
The star is the shrimp Good appetizer with shrimp !! I recommend ! Take your food and eat front to the beach !
A restaurant above a bar. At the bar you can eat local pastries and the seafood at the restaurant is pretty good. Service is not the best and the prices can get very high. It's worth visiting for a beer at least.
Tourist trap, overpriced, anything but authentic. Their pastries were dry and rancid. Poor view from the upstairs seating area. If you want to have your drink while enjoying the view you have to go across the street and onto the pavement. Some people did though lots of bottles were getting smashed. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.
