Relaxed bar, quiet early on a Tuesday evening but great food and excellent cocktails.
Very good feijoada in huge portions, good service, strong caipirinhas. Don't walk here at night as it could get dangerous - get an uber or taxi.
Good Brazilan food. But rather expensive.
Lovely location and incredible eats this truely is where locals and more importantly chefs come to enjoy
We came for the Feijaoda but we got so much more. Despite being in a heavily touristed area, Bar do Mineiro encapsulates the warmth of the people from the great state of Minas Gerais. Being a vegetarian they actually had a few plates that I could work with to make sure I wasn't consuming animal flesh. It gets quite crowded so if you like eating in peace and quiet go early.
Very popular but incredibly relaxed. Powerful cocktails :)
so local. so delicious. so friendly
Quite nice. The feijoada for 3 people end up serving 5. I would come back.
Visited in 2015 (not 2017, so hope I have the right place). Really good place to go for Brazilian meat. Huge portions, really tasty!
Even though I don't speak a word of Portuguese and their menu had no translation, the owner was really lovely about it, trying his hardest to help even though we couldn't understand one another.
It was recommended to me by a local lady who works at the conference centre.
If it wasn't for the high price tag, it would have got a 5 star rating. Nice atmosphere, tasty Brazilian food and a diverse menu. They have menus in English. Please be aware, it is packed on weekends, locals love it.
A traditional and well located bar at the heart of Santa Teresa (a Tropical "Montmartre") it offers good variety of drinks - many types of Cachaca (Brazilian rum) from the Brazilian State of Minas Gerais and good food. From fresh nibbles (bolinhos) to feijoada, nice clientele, good customer service, a must visit but not cheap!
An essential stop when in Santa Teresa. They serve an excellent feijoada everyday (not just Saturdays!) plus they do yummy pastelzinhos which are perfect for sharing. On weekends this is one of the main areas to hang out and socialise.
Amazing Brazilian kind of food. Feijoada, rice farofa, chicken and many more choices. Since I am not a beef eater, I ordered chicken with Okra which accompanies rice and beans with polenta ( made of corn). Nice selection of drinks and beers.
Very Brazilian athmosphere, flooded by locals, some tourists too. I enjoyed the fejoada and a carafa de vinho branco, salmon was also very tasty. They cook everything on the spot, therefore you need to wait, if the place is packed.
