Tons of shows, both free and paid. Nice restaurants around the area (though they are expensive). It's clearly an important area for cultural events in manaus. Beautiful inside, but seating isn't the most comfortable as it is original furniture.

Tours offered every day in English, very worth it! Fascinating history and beautiful building. The only MUST SEE attraction in the city of Manaus in my opinion, if you are a tourist whose primary interest is going into the Amazon.

The monumental place is well decorated with art.
The centro is a very active part of the city Manaus.
Antiques spells the place awesome .Evenings and the day time has plenty of ppl around loitering and spending quality time.
Music forms a part of this place and some shops can be found.
Some nice restaurants are located too .there are tour guides available and also manaus tour city bus can also be boarded here.
The famous Sao Sebastiao church is located just next to the Amazon theatre.
Overall a great day of visit to cherish for long.

Age old theatre, but still looks brilliant. Was renovated recently. Got a chance to listen to our of the practice sessions and the acoustics are brilliant. Worth a visit. Try if can attend a concert here.

A must see while in Manaus. It is the proof of the most sophisticated lifestyle that the economy of last century because of "borracha" (natural latex) gave to Amazonas

Not bad, there is not much to see in this area other than the Amazon of course. So its one of the best attractions.

It is a great place to visit, the visit inside the theater is for free. But i think that they should do some renewal and cleaning on the theater, it has a lot of potential. May be hiring someone that knows deeply the history of the place is important as well.

As one of the few old colonial buildings to be seen in Brazil, it's very nice. Tour takes about 30 min.

Fantastico! Great atmosphere and nice guiding. I really got the impression of the grandiosity of Manaus 100 years back, when rubber was in demand as we wouldn't believe it!
