  Absolutely amazing bar in the heart of the favelas. I highly recommend it although it is a bit sketchy to travel through the favelas to get there, the view is worth it. To get back down you'll need to take a shuttle as ubers/taxis are not allowed in after dark

  The view is stunning. The staff is kind, helpful, and the prices are fair. To this date (feb 2018), there are not enough vegetarian options except for a veggie burger that was unavailable when I went there

  Amazing place !!!
  Don’t be afraid, Uber won’t bring you up there it’s normal : just take a 5R$ moto taxi and in less than 10min you will get the most incredible view of Rio!
  It’s really SAFE!!!
  The militar policia is everywhere around :)

  The staff is extremely friendly and the views are stunning from the top of the favela. There are a lot of places to socialize within the hostel and get to know other travelers. It is also extremely safe and there are two locked doors keeping strangers our and lockers provided to all guests.There is also a huge selection of movies to watch for those rainy days.
  
  The only downside is the cleanliness. I would suggest bringing your own bedsheets as the beds are not in the cleanest state. The bathrooms and kitchen are also not that clean either.

  Absolutely love this place! The views are worth the fee alone. Friendly and helpful staff. Great atmosphere, and the local community in Vidigal are really nice and friendly too. Highly recommend this hostel!
