The Saba Artisan Foundation was established in 1972 in a joint effort by the Dutch Government, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the International Labor Organization to promote the manufacturing and sale of handicrafts and locally made artisan works in an effort to encourage, preserve and promote Saba's artist and artisan goods both locally and internationally.
Silk screen printing and garment making was and still is the specialization of The Saba Artisan Foundation.
Today the gift shop has a selection of hand printed t-shirts, handbags, fabrics and various items made from the hand screened fabrics. Along with a variety of small souvenir items.
