A great restaurant with very nice and friendly people. The place is truly beautiful and food is excellent. The choice of fishes is OK... only drawback: they deep fried my Red Snapper which made it melty and tasteless. Make sure that you specify it should you want your fish just grilled. Cocktails were a bit disappointing: not really tasty and very little alcohol. Instead try their craft beer which is a winner choice. I would go back without hesitation.

We had diner here last Saturday and we enjoyed it very much! They offer a very friendly and good service and good quality of food. I mentioned that I’m gluten intolerant and they explained everything about the dishes what I could and couldn’t eat. They offer a nice and authentic amuse on a wooden plate which has got the shape of Bonaire and Klein Bonaire.
We’d absolutely recommend to have diner at this atmospheric restaurant.

This place was great but not really all that Mexican themed. Tasty food. They allow people to smoke in the main dining courtyard.

Tasty open air restaurant that does not disappoint. The catch of the day is where it's at; smart fish market concept. Beautifully presented and yet unpretentious. Would certainly visit again!! Lively atmosphere and fun time!

Small portions of exquisitely presented food.

Artfully presented plates with multiple dollops and smears of mayonnaise-like substances accompanied by scrapings of miscellaneous fruits and vegetables, along with a small portion of whatever fish or meat is ordered. Culinary school fanatics are likely to leave more satisfied than the mere hungry.

There are very few restaurants that offer this level of sophistication in fine but unpretentious dining. This can please any food snob or lover of simple pleasures equally. Excellent service and the house offers delightful amuse bouches (mini appetizers) to get you started. Vegetarian options can be found, and I highly recommend this for local fish selections.

An exquisite Bonaire restaurant!! Don't miss this dining experience!!
After spending several days on Bonaire last week, we had the opportunity to dine at La Cantina. Every aspect of our dinner was wonderful including the excellent service, our interaction with the owner and chefs and the delicious and beautifully presented meal. We’ve been going to Bonaire for 5 years and La Cantina is now our personal favorite!!

Special night out dining on Bonaire?@ La Cantina Bonaire is the place to go! Not only does it have a beautiful location, great staff, amazing food and tasty drinks, it has something unique! The staff has madegoing out to dinner into a allround new experience. With the surprise menu you have no idea what you're getting and there's a whole show around it. I had a great evening and tried to write down what we had, but don't pin me on it! The pictures were not made for this medium, but for myself, so I just have to go back again and take better pictures for you all!! ;)
Enjoy it if you go & let me know your thoughts..

Nice and friendly atmosphere, good service, Open air Restaurant, Great fish! I loved the choice of three grilled fishes: dog snapper, wahoo and tuna.
Super recommendation is the Passion fruit mojito as aperitif.

We went on their open grill night, which lets you pick from a number of fish options in a cooler next to their outdoor grill. They then grill up your selection and charge by the KG. We went with a duo of Wahoo and Tuna, which was excellent (and very reasonable at $8 per 100G) and came with a nice set of sauces. We also had the guacamole and a few other tapas. However, the overwhelming best part of the evening was their passion fruit mojitos, which we could have easily drank all night to potentially rough results. This was probably the best cocktail we had in the two weeks we were on the island. Service was also attentive and prices were a little high but reasonable for the quality.
