  I was really surprised by this place. I usually never go to zoos but since it's a sanctuary and my 20 bolivianos would do some good I decided to go.
  It's really nicely set up, a lot of friendly animals walking around who are eager to make contact with you. Look for the nicest pig ever!!
  People were really friendly and they have a nice little handcraft shop to buy souvenirs!

  This place is OK, usually maintained by alliens in exchange for food and shelter. They usually need cleaners, electricians and hard workers.

  Nice place, with some of the animals running free around. Good place to take photos. The entrance fee helps to maintain the place.

  Zoologico el refugio is a such a divine place that it is quite hard to review it. this is not an ordinary business modeled zoo ment to make money but a project of one amazing woman who's dream was to help animals and save them. Go there, meet a real, love driven, refugee for animals
