senses hotel, the night service is the wost,first there is no kind of Information in the room for the hotel services, they offer room service and don't have a menu, I order a simple burger and took more than an hour, night shift not even call to apologize for the delay ,and when arrive it was so cold,try to call front desk and they unhook the phone, it is a shame, if they don't like the job find other work to do, SHAME.SHAME SHAME ON THE NIGHT SHIFT. WON'T COME BACK TO THIS HOTEL ANYMORE.

CONS: The building is very noisy, and privacy is not a feature. Due to the odd layout of nearly every room, someone passing by in the hallways can look in, even without meaning to. If the windows are covered with the blinds you feel like you're in a cave, but with the blinds open you feel like you're in a fish bowl. The bathtub is so narrow you can't stand with your feet apart, making it hard to keep your balance when you're wet and soapy, but don't try holding the grab bars because they're pulling out of the wall. The Jacuzzi pool was broken down for our entire four-day stay. There were bugs in our first room. The second room was better. The hot water at the breakfast buffet tasted like hose water. Payment is in advance at the time of check-in. So be certain that you want to stay here before paying. Getting a refund is like pulling teeth.
PROS: The staff were very nice, from the front desk to the bellhops, the waiters and the housekeepers. There is a lovely view from the roof top terrace / restaurant of the main plaza in Santa Cruz and the surrounding buildings. Fortunately you don't have to be a guest of the hotel to eat at the roof top restaurant.

Decent place right on the Santa Cruz Square. Breakfast and lunch are only so-so, but plenty of choices within walking distance. I will probably return next year.

I love it,very nice staff beautiful decor clean rooms so much fun and live music around the area. ..very good breakfast with view of the Plaza.

Perfect location with clean, up to date rooms. This one is really hard to rate, because the hotel location and design is really a five star for the price, but the noise - oh the noise at night can be really loud. If you are with children than have difficulty sleeping I would stay away, but if you don't mind going to bed a bit late or can sleep though a hurricane then this is a perfect little spot to stay while visiting Santa Cruz.
