    Grab some delicious mango or avocado, and then head up to the top floor for cheap food, about 15 bob per serving. Looks dirty for europeans, but we ať there twice without any issues whatever.

    If you are looking for local and cheap food, that's definitely the place to go!! moreover there is everything you need, from clothes to technology, to meat, vegetables and fruit!
    There are 2 different food yard, a bigger one open for lunch time and a small one for dinner.

    I love the markets in Bolivia. This one is very manageable when the markets can sometimes be overwhelming. Everyone was always patient with me & poor Spanish. Could get everything I needed here.

    Big market in the hearth of Sucre, it's more than a simple market, it's a place where you will find traditional food, handicrafts of the city

    Its a classic south american big market with fresh fruit, veg, meat, eggs and all the other goodies you need. Not the cleanest I have been to in South America

    Here's the lowdown on the mercado central;
    Breakfast; get some bread from the inside area by the fruit stands ask for "caspitas", get some fresh and delicious cream "nata" it comes in a little cup for 7bs. from the fresh milk area, next to the cheese vendors.
    Lunch; chorizo chuquisaqueno sandwich - at the "7 lunares" spot inside the market, or head cheese sandwich - dont freak! take the sample it is awesome!
    Late night, try tojori con leche and bunuelos.

    One of the most important markets in Chuquisaca where you can find almost anything to eat in large amounts and cheap prices. The bad thing however is the lack of hygiene and terrible state of the toilets.

    This is an interesting cultural experience of you've never seen a market in a developing country before. You can buy lots of fresh veggies and fruits. The best part is the route of stalls selling fruit juices for 5 bolivianos.
