This was such a cool experience!

You start off with a local (private) boat ride going through the Amazon. When you arrive you will be welcomed by the most friendly people ever who will guide you to your room.

The room itself is nice as well, very spacious and outside a hammock to chill out.

If you have the chance, try to do the tubing on the river. We stayed there for 3 nights and did this on our last day which was a good way to relax after walking around in the jungle.

It might be a bit pricey, but you get a very unique experience out of it!

This is a fantastic place!
They take the "eco" in ecolodge very seriously. Years ago, I did one of the cheap "jungle tours" out of Rurrenabaque. At that time, we never ventured very far from the areas that are also being logged, and as a consequence we didn't spot too much wildlife.
Madidi jungle ecolodge, by contrast, you can only reach by going deep into the jungle; a couple of hours upstream by motorboat. The local tribal community manages the place (an offshoot from the successful Chalalán project), and high in their agenda is how balance the inevitable pressure on nature that comes with tourism with keeping the place pristine. They do so by limiting the number of tourists allowed (and as a consequence, the price is quite a bit more expensive than your typical Rurre experience). But pristine it is! In just three days in the ecolodge, we spotted 5 different species of monkey, and various other large forms of wildlife! The guide was very professional, yet easy-going and amicable.
Of course, it's a tropical jungle, so be prepared for constant humidity. The ecolodge community keeps everything very clean, but they keep impact on the jungle in very high esteem, so they limit how much electricity, water, etc. you can use. You'll be thankful for it: because of their high ecological standards, you'll get to experience the real jungle.

Very nice guides from the local community. Clean place. A bit far from Rurrenabaque (between 2.5 and 3 hours by boat). Good food. A bit expensive ($260 for 2 nights with shared bathroom).

Turismo comunitario y totalmente sostenible!!
Nos hospedamos con mi pareja en enero de este año y vivimos una experiencia única. El lugar, hermoso. La atención muy buena y los guías excelentes. Nuestro guía era Simón y nos enseñó muchísimo sobre su tierra. Se nota que los guías aman el lugar y eso te lo transmiten. La comida muy buena y abundante, y tienen en cuenta si tenés una alimentación especial.
Lo único incómodo resultó ser la ducha ya que no hay agua caliente en todo el Parque, pero así es la naturaleza!! Sólo hay que elegir un momento del día caluroso para bañarse.
