This place is amazing and totally secured, there is a garden in the back of the hostel with hamacs and a pool which contribute to make the atmosphear so cumfortable and peacefull. Also for the fitst time in my trip in bolivia you can sleep and relax yourself without the noise of the city, you dont have the feeling to be surounded.
And of course, i dont speak about JP ; a guy with a huge heart, helpfull and most important really friendly. We spend all a night talking together and I can say for a night, it was my home, he was my family.

We booked a double bed with them. We were in constant touch through email concerning our booking and arrival. Suddenly just 2 days before our check in there, we get an email from them saying that they cannot have us on the dates we booked as they have to close the hostel and they are cancelling our booking. We found out online that they were still taking bookings on our dates, for the dormitory bunk beds. So obviously, their hostel was not closed down. I find that very unprofessional and unreliable and deceiving!

We started our holiday in Santa Cruz and our first stop was the loro loco. The hostel is perfect for backpackers: the rooms are ok (maybe a bit small), the yard is very nice and the breakfast is simple but much better than in most of the other hostels we went in Bolivia or Peru. The french owner (from St. Malo) is very helpful, he gave us a lot of advices for nice trips in the city and the surroundings. Thanks again for the nice time :)

French/Bolivian owners - English is fine. Tap water drinkable. Wifi good. Swimming pool smaller than what it seemed on description/photos (noticed when walking out to have a swim and it was more like a jacuzzi). Cold showers but that doesn't matter when it's 34 degrees. There's a "leftovers" shelf which is great to avoid wasting food and saving some people money. There's a good kitchen with free spices and oil to cook. Also, very nice garden to hang out and a nice resting spot.
