The communal areas are fantastic! There is a TV room, a big communal breakfast table (breakfasts here were the best I have had in awhile!!) and a good kitchen. The room itself, we booked a twin room with private bathroom and it was okay. Quite stuffy with a funny smell and the pillows were flat and lumpy but it was functional. Eduardo who works at reception was incredibly friendly and helpful! Our bank card got stuck in the Prodem atm and he was wonderful, calling the bank several times for us to get someone to help get the card back. The bedrooms need re-decorating and upgrading (NEW PILLOWS!!!) but the atmosphere, location and friendliness of the hostel was great!!!
The Koala Den is not only located in an ideal position close to the old city centre, if's also very roomy and comfortabke, the staff are both
welcoming and informed and the breakfast is nutritional and more than ample. The bedrooms are clean, heated and sizable.
Nice place, clean, quiet. Very helpful staff. Good location near points of interest.
Nice place!! Its clean and in my.bedroom I got private bathroom! Its near the center and the man in the breakfast got a lot of.energy.
A little bit disorganised overall, but beautifully hot showers, helpful staff, clean environment, good book exchange and a cute cat 😸
disgusting room and bathroom. nice breakfast. ok staff. But they charge at every simple help you get from them.
Amazing! Has everything you could need and more (computers to use for free). Two cute cats as well. Beautiful building, great location!
Great breakfast in a big table were you can meet everyone. Kitchen is available to use. Dorm has a very nasty old carpet. Hot showers
Nice and very decent hostel with great breakfast and hot water. Ideal for one/two day backpacker stop
Such a great hostel! Very cheap and amazing wifi along with the best complimentary breakfast I've had. Showers were warm and clean and staff were so so helpful in everything from tours to organising taxis. Also have one of the best mining tours!
Good hostel. Owner doesn't speak English.
A bit on the pricey side, but a fun place to meet other travelers with good facilities and free breakfast
Good place to meet backpackers. Nice common area and great breakfast. Prices on their homepage are not correct (more expensive, at least for Europeans). The room next to the common area is the cheapest but also by far the worst, loud and no en-suite bathroom like the other rooms (used by absolutely everyone in reception area). We had hot water in the shower only in the mornings, first night without heating because the girl didn't know how to turn it on
Matrimonial room was spacious and clean. Water in shower was hot and had a good presure. Internet was working well. We had access to kitchen. Breakfest was over the standard in other places in Bolivia. They organize tours to mines.
Nice atrium very high. Rooms are ok, bathrooms as well. Breakfast buffet is very nice and big. The male tenant was very rude though. A good place to meet other travelers.
Good breakfast, really hot shower, helpful staff, rooms with heating, cozy atmosphere.
Terrible wifi, bathrooms smell really bad.
