I was able to easily ask availability on the day I arrived since I was travelling alone and only staying for one night (this was in October). The owners of this house were very accommodating. I was put in a bedroom suite (like, fit for a couple) with its own toilet and shower. Clean and hot water available. It's an extra fee for breakfast, but so worth it: pancakes, freshly squeezed juice, yoghurtand the view overlooking the lake and morning sunshine. I really recommend this place for someone looking to experience a quiet atmosphere in a laid back community that works as hard and enjoys having siestas.

This was a nice hostel/house near the top of Isla del Sol meaning the views of the lake from the hostel were spectacular even from the cheaper room! The shower was hot (after several minutes) and the toilet flushed - two things friends staying in a different hostel on the island said they lacked. And the wifi was reliable throughout our stay. Jose was very kind and helpful, although I was quite confused by his pricing, as he increased the price when my friend and I couldn't decide on the same room and wanted to stay in separate ones. Also from what I understood, you were only allowed to use a specific bathroom depending on the room you booked - with the cheaper room having unreliable hot water? Like much of Isla del sol the hostel/house is in the midst of being built. This didn't impact on our experience at all and I am sure once it is finished it will be incredibly beautiful, there's even a yoga room which we didn't get a chance to use.

Great view!
Excelente vista!
Chegando ao sul da Ilha do Sol, sobe-se as escadas até a Igreja. Sobe à esquerda até o final, depois logo a esquerda novamente. A caminhada vale a pena, pois é o hostel mais bonito da ilha. A vista é de tirar o fôlego e administrador José Payet é muito atencioso.
Há um espaço zen, ideal para meditação e yoga. A diária por pessoa não passa dos 50 reais. IncrÃvel!response / report this review
