Nice hostel with friendly host in Copacabana next to the cathedral

For everyone who visits Copacabana i recommend to stay at the hostel Florencia. The owners are really nice people who gives you a lot of information about Copacabana and what to do. They also really helped us with booking problems and made a lof of effort to help us.The location is good nearby the centrum and the church. The rooms are clean and nice with cool paintings on the wall. The showers where good and you can fresh yourself up. They have a roofterrace from where you have a good sight of view on the lake and the surroundings, and in the night you can chill here and watch the stars.

Located just one or two streets from the busy center, Florencia is a nice large hostel with many rooms on different levels offering decent facilities. You will feel welcome directly by the lovely woman who owns the place and her evenly lovely dog Pepe. He loves to be cuddled.
Nice and colorful shared spaces. At our stay it wasnt busy so cannot judge the social activities. Warm showers and decent toilets, stable and fast internet when in need, great rooms for the price.
Good standard slightly above average breakfast compared to what we've been offered on average during our travels in equally priced hostels throughout Peru, chili and Bolivia.response / report this review -

Pros: The women working here are incredibly friendly and helpful. The free breakfast on the upstairs terrace is very nice.

It's ok for a short stay. The showers and toilets are out in the cold. The bed we had was the worst I had for a while, the mattress must have been 2 decades old (bended in the middle). The staff is extremely friendly.

A good hotel but quite expensive for Bolivia - 180 Bs for a twin room. You will be able to find better value elsewhere in Copacabana. We only stayed one night, but were given a warm welcome by the staff and a decent breakfast the next morning. They also let us store our luggage free of charge for 2 days whilst we visited Isla del Sol. It's not the closest to the port, and requires an uphill walk to get to.

Staff muito prestativo e receptivo, hostel ok, nada de mais, fica numa subida nao muito perto do porto de onde sai os barcos para copacabana, mas o custo beneficio compensa
