We did the 6 day ride & river (Sorata to Rurrenebaque) trip in 2011, at time of writing over 6 years ago. We still think of it all the time because it definitely is one of the most awesome things we ever experienced. The scenery is nothing short of breathtaking and the cycling is fast, exciting, and demanding. The bikes were stellar quality and the guides just great and professional. The days on the river were also perfect, relaxing on the boat, and awesome trips into the jungle.
If there's one thing I can recommend to do when visiting Bolivia, this is it.

Amazing company with very professional, highly experienced and fun mountain bike guide (Neil Churchard). English guided tour with detailed explanation of each hazards and things to be aware along the death road. The whole cycling experience is fun, safe and exciting! Highly recommend the best cycling tour company in La Paz for death road ride! I

Excellent guides and a great day! Noel, Rodrigo and Kirsten kept us safe and took a lot of photos! They even arranged a convenient drop off for us at the end of the day.
The English was excellent and so we're the bikes, snacks and meals were good too.
Felt on par with a tour we would in Canada safety wise!response / report this review -

Gravity tours was Amaizing!!! Robbie, Rodri and Don were the BEST team of guides! Extremely experienced riders, super knowledgeable about the Death Road, they went above and beyond to make our experience completely out of this world! Their bus was prestine, lunch was great, protecctive gear was top notch. Rob and Rodri, our guides, were on top of their game at all times, making sure we were all safe, riding properly and having fun. An experience that we will never forget! Years back, I have made the tour on old Yungas hwy road.
In Spanish language it is known as el camino a los yungas oder el camino a las yungas.
The road is approximately 65 Kilometer long.
Also known as the "most dangerous road of the world".
The most adventurous bicycle ride of my life.
They rented us very reliable bikes and biking gears. Brought​ us up by car to a height of more than 4.000 meters.
Took us a day to ride down.
Tour guides are competent and friendly.
Always take care on safety.
The day ended with a 3 valley zip line.
The day ended with a wonderful dinner.
Moreover we received a CD containing of all the good picture shots taken during the day.

Just do it!

A most do tour in Bolivia, the Death Road. Gravity takes very serious the security standards and it's not for nothing that they have such big prices, every penny is worth it. They have great guides, Noel is one of them. A great downhill racer that competes like a pro.
