This is the perfect place to start, if you're new in town, your Spanish isn't great, and want to feel connected to the local scene. The porridge is INCREDIBLE. All the comfort food is great, for any expat.

Great place. Had Barrys tea and homemade beans and Irish soda bread. Fantastic food. It was a welcomed sight. Visited the cafe each of the 3 days I was in Copa. Sandwich was great too. Daniel, the owner, is great to have a chat with. Highly recommended.

Not a fan of sandwiches, but it's pretty good here. Menu is pretty limited to them, though. However, if you're any fan of chocolate, you have to try the Bolivian hot chocolate here. It's so good. Reasonable for tourist pricing.

Yum! We walked in just before their closing time, despite this we were welcomed inside. Our food (their homemade beans on homemade toasted Irish soda bread, and the fresh fruit homemade muslei, yogurt and honey) were both delicious! I love the advice for travelers from travelers books too. Great service and clean, both things that seem to be lacking in copacabana. I'm happy to pay a little more for the quality food. I would totally recommend eating here.

Ate here every morning in Copa. Great bread, tea. Simple menu but done very well. We chatted a lot with the owner who is very friendly, helpful about travelling and things to do in the area. Have not tasted bread that good sinceI left Ireland. Top notch.

Best breakfast and coffee in town. But all that pales in comparison to how kind and friendly the owners are. We felt at home for the short time we spent there and would recommend anyone to pay a visit.

Really lovely cafe run by an Irish guy from Cork and his wife. Food is good, real brown bread and proper Irish tea. What really makes the difference is the friendly attitude of thw owners and the helpful advice. There are stacks of folders with info from travellers all over the world and their recommendations for South America. In addition to this the owner will give you any advice you need for travelling through Bolivia or Peru. Good prices too.

A little bit hidden, nice and quiet. You might pay a bit more - than the cheapest place - but with it comes quality, something you don't find so easily in this 2-night town where the mentality often feels like "well, we'll never see you again anyway

Best cuppa I've had in months, and the brown bread is AMAZING. Went there two days in a row for a cup of Barry's tea and beans on homemade brown bread (made me very homesick). Great taste of home (Ireland) and loads of useful travel info there too.

Home from home. Hearty breakfast and lunch options. The hot chocolate is exceptional and the coffee very good. The owner is a wealth of up to date local knowledge and a wonderful traveller's book holds invaluable information about loads of destinations across South America.

Fantastic. Run by a delightful Irish-Bolivian couple, extremely courteous and friendly, ever ready to offer help and useful tips, and very well stocked on quality soda bread and Barry's tea! Worth a second visit every time.
