I have been to this place a few times and recently, and honestly, there were a lot of problems that were never there before.

Firstly, The drinks took almost 30 mins to get to the table after we were all done with our food. We asked for it several times and we didn’t even get an apology.

Secondly, the cucur udang they served us was way too cold and did not enjoy them at all. On top of that, we found what i think was a piece of a tooth pick of some sort.

Last and certainly not least, the servers were really slow with all their services, i understand that there were a lot of people here but sure there is a form of system in place.

It's 8:44 am, so it's lovely. The place is quiet and pleasant. The coconut rice with beef $5.50 (nasi lemah) is fresh and tasty. Ice lemon tea is ok. $2.50. Roti telor is good and no greasy.

The food are great. If you don't mind the flies flying around, then it's alright. If you want to celebrate your birthday, be prepared to pay an extra $20,lol.

Honestly it was all pretty okay until I found a huge beetle in my food.

Pricing was fine and suited the quality of the food. Service was poor, on par with typical Bruneian restaurants. Food got to the table quick, but was mediocre. Their selection of food was acceptable.

I had their Tarindak nasi goreng which was okay, and my sister had marinara pasta, sprinkled with some bug in it. Not much of a fan of the bug.

Personally, I think it’s a bit of a shame that such a lovely location would serve pretty meh unhygienic food. Definitely not a place to bring a date ahah. Would recommend to bring takeaway to eat at the beach.

22nd April 2018, brought my 2 young daughters and my pregnant wife to this establishmebt for food around 3pm.
As we walking towards a table which is empty, the waitress walked away and took the "reservation" plaque and placed it on the table just right infront of us. She proceeded to ignore us. We stood there like what seem an eternity

instead of serving us, she was "busy" clearing the table around us. Customer service = 0

Had to asked her politely for a table the 3rd time. She assigned us a table after that.

ordered drinks and food. Cucur came, without any cutlery. Again had to wait for the drinks to be delivered to asked for the cutlery set.

    poor service.
    Dim witted

The ayam penyet is dry, without any taste. The sauce that came with it is no doubt spicy. But its spicy just spicy. I've had better. Mamih ayam penyet sauce is way better.

Cucur looks really yummy. But then again its full of flour.

The fries is horrible. Burger king is way much better.

    Lamb burger is just meh.

Oh well. We were hungry then. Given choices, we will not eat here or recommend this establishment to family and friends overseas.

That's my honest opinion of this place.

Food = it's alright if youre really hungry
Revisit = if its the end of world, and if this is the only place left i would probably think about this place.
Service = you will probably need to bring along a whistle or a whip to get their attention.
Price = if the service is good, this wouldn't be an issue to be had.
Environment = be prepared to keep one hands free for flies swatting.

Alternative = mamih, burger king, gerai simpur, seria market and gadong night market

Had an overall disappointing experience. The food was mediocre and bland while the drinks were under-filled and dilute (especially the Teh Tarik that was basically brown water and stale chips that were served as a side dish).

The most tragic part is the service, where I was rudely attended to by one of the staff (rolled their eyes while taking my order and when asked about the difference between the small and large sizes for cold drinks, they sarcastically answered “damit sama basar”).

On the plus side, the menu is very affordable. However, borrowing their freezer space for a tiny cake will cost you $20.

The place to have a local high tea next to the beach. Price not bad. But taste is just ok.

The scenery is good. The food not as nice as before. Kuew tiaw is bland and it's chicken is dry. The assorted cucur is ok. You can taste the oil and some of the cucur is thinly cut. Prefer if it's a bit thicker.

Good price and generous quantities. Not really to my taste but not bad if you want Malay outdoor/street style eating

Exquisite scenary, splendid viewing, blending with nature kind of cafe, not much of food options but will be added in the future.
