Nice place and very comfort to stay for transit here..
Got transit in Brunei to Korea, it was good place, not ceowded, and really clean!
Brisbane to London via Brunei. I’m working as a paramedic in UK and must fly at least twice a year to Brisbane, where my children live. For the first time I used Royal Brunei and I was very impressed. The short lay over and small price determined me to use RBA. First impression was the humble and professional attitude of the staff, very clean planes, good leg room, amazing food. Crew walked the extra mile to accommodate passengers, me included and their service was amazing. The flight’ s attendants leaders on the Brunei-London leg took the time and listened to my feedback. Reintroduce the short lay over middle way between Brunei-London. I definitely recommend Royal Brunei.
One cannot compare this airport with other international airport considering the amount of travelers and the population Brunei has. It is very well managed starting from the departure hall, arrival hall, baggage drop facility, security check, immigration check and finally reaching the terminal. Staff is very courteous and polite. Always ready to help the passengers. There is no duty free section at arrivals. It has a royal brunei Lounge and few shops for eating and shopping at the departure terminal near the gates.
It has spacious and comfortable prayer room inside the airport. The ablution space was also clean. This kind of facility is very helpful for Muslim like me.
Although various stalls are available, not many things can be done in the airport. Hopefully, the airport could improve and add some more facilities especially for those who have a long transit.
Small airport less passangers but clean & roomy. The duty free shop accept multi currency.
Serious discrase for an international airport I reckon Avalon would give this airport a good run for it's Money.
Where are the classic duty free stores?
A so called food mall with 3 spring rolls on display to buy. My only option was instant noodles where they offered some boiling water.
1 hour Wifi?? who does that these days?
Airport is ok if looking a bit run down. Having said this they have slowly renovated certain areas, especially the business class lounge which used to be absolute garbage. The lounge now is very nice indeed, the facilities are always clean and clearly accessible. If you don't have access to the business class lounge then you only get access to average speed wifi for an hour which is annoying seeing as though it's 2018. The staff here are very friendly and go out of their way to assist you in any way.
Small but good enough for this country. All ground staffs are really friendly and would attend you nicely.
Not big airport, not crowded but comfortable and clear!
Terrible wifi, had to pay 50 dollars to use the lounge to get fast wifi
PROS (plus three stars)
- not crowded
- very nice air conditioning
- fine sense of aesthetics
CONS (minus two stars)
- as a culture, alcohol isn't really available. Very sad for travelers.
- "free" wifi only lasts for ONE hour, and that's after you've gone through ad walls. After that, you hit a pay wall. Very unfriendly for travelers
Small but good enough for this country. All ground staffs are really friendly and would attend you nicely. Light backpackers will get around easily with public bus only charged B$1 for any destination, just wait for a while for them to come around.
Exchange rate is better than at Times Square Mall. All buses go to City Center Terminal, the green chairs outside the departure area is the bus stop. I know #36 and #38 stop there during daylight hours.
Spacious and comfortable All facilities you may need No public wifi, however.
Very pleasant wait, just pay the $5 visa fee and catch the bus into town for a buck. It's a nice ride and you get to see a bit of the town for cheap
I have visited a lot of countries. This airport is too small and this is only one airport in this country. But the airport is really good, clean enough & I loving their friendly behaviour.Besides airport got a mosque, this was really beautiful And there got free wifi also with the limitations time around 50 mint.
This airport is simple and small, but clean. Unfortunately, free wifi is limited time. Only 50 minutes. The restaurant only 2-3 place.
Very good traffic moves very swiftly through the airport and flights takes you to all the worlds hub.
I really like how the airport is clean and well maintained, however the small size means that there is not much to do and go around while waiting for the flight.
Recommended to bring something to read or do while waiting, or preferrably wait in the airport mall or other places nearby
Good but small airport. This is the only one International Airport in Brunei. Very friendly and convenient. Big and easy to access parking place. Have some food stalls and coffee bar, at departure gate, arrival hall and also at inside.
I visited Brunei 2 years ago. Not so big but good environment.
i went there as my flight using Royal Brunei Airlines took a transit here, so i had couple of hours to take a walk around. It is such a comfortable airport, not really crowded and still there are some food seller (although not much like in Sutta Jakarta or Juanda Surabaya
A modern and large airport but inside, it is almost empty except the officials on-duty.
Positive
- clean
- prayer area
- nice atmosphere
- comfortable
Negative
- 1 hr wifi access. This is very very very very very bad in today's society.
- a bad coffee place that has a monopoly on coffee and food.
You guys can do better then that.
Small airport
Limited service
No official website
Only got one money exchange shop , one souvenir shop and a few shops inside
I have connected the Tebu free wifi in KFC in the city centre . Then failed to connect to airport free wifi due to exceeded daily limit. RUBBISH !
Worst international airport ever. Royal Brunei airline feel it's ok not to disclose that flights will be connecting here, I guess because it's their home airport. Unacceptable when the layover is 10 hours. No real restaurant inside the terminal you have to leave the airport and even then choices are slim. Wifi is only free for 1 hour and although the country is warm the air conditioning was so high during my layover that I fell ill on my way home.
Don't buy things inside this place. Go to the airport mall it's very good place for buy things with interesting stuff.
It's not too busy and there are seldom big crowds (excluding flight transfer) It's nice and not to noisy and they also have a couple of restraunts. Flight times are good and are usually on-time and the service is good and helpful in the airport.
New experience to see my neightborhood country
Staffs try to manage the queues in immigration in a better way so that we don't have to wait. Never saw a big crowd in this airport.
A very humble international airport with just a basic facilities. Definitely not glamourous at all, and you won't know that Brunei is one of the richest country in the world. They don't even have air conditioning even though the weather is very hot, very tropical. The service pace is a bit laid back.
This is a spanking new airport, it is very clean and well maintained. The staff including the immigration folks are very friendly and provide service with a smile. Great job Brunei.
